rear windows
I'm currently shopping for an is 250c and they are all well over 100 miles away from my home so i can't test drive one to find this answer (and google was no help!) so thanks in advance. I see on the 2012 & 2013 models, there are 4 window switches on the drivers door. Does that mean the rear windows can be rolled down for passengers when the top is still up? & I realize it's a compact back seat but is there really enough room for 2 adults to ride back there when the top is up? i.e. are their heads up against the roof? Thank you.

I have a 2010 IS250C. The back windows do roll up and down from the driver's door. There are no switches in the rear seat area.
When you lower the top, all 4 windows will roll down if you keep holding the switch after the top is down. The same is true when you are putting the top up.
As for having adults sit in the back seat, not really. In an emergency, yes. You move the front seats forward as far as you can, so the people in back will have someplace to put their legs. Then everybody is equally cramped and uncomfortable. you have to move the front seat fully forward and tilt the seatback forward so the people can get in and out of the back seat. There is a button on the top of the front seat back that will move the front seat and then return it to the original position.

Depends on the size of the adults getting in the back and of course the height of the front seat occupants. I like to think of the back seat as cozy (and yes, I have ridden back there for about an hour) but I’m 5’8”. Some larger adults may have a problem squeezing between the seat back and the door jamb with the top up, but it is easy with the top down.
The back seat seat passengers are fairly exposed when the top is down as the aerodynamics of the windshield end there they wind up buffeted by the vortex. I supplied my mostly grown kids with goggles and ear muffs if it is all too much for them. There is a knee level vent at the rear of the center console that provides decent ventilation (and as others have said, the rear windows go down [a tiny bit sticks up]). The one thing the rear seats could use (and I have let Lexus know) is heaters like the front seats.
