Default Bumper swap

Has anyone installed the updated bumper 2is to 3is on a isc? If so did everything fit correctly?

Called ikon directly and got the bumper painted from them for 1000 out the door. (carry out) Talked to Steven he did the bumper for 650 and paint for 350. Thinking I can get 250 for my bumper with fog light. If someone needs a obsidian black bumper let me know

Can't wait to see the pics, and your car in person. T his is a MUST DO for my Matador red, as the OEM bumper makes the car look like its from 1997.

We saw two blue in person, that was my first choice. But wife didn't want another blue like our WRX and said no to it. Not a big deal to me, as I like red too. Nice lights!

I did this conversion about 6 months ago. I think it looks way better than stock. The bumper didn't fit 100%, but with minor modifications I got it to work.

Looks great! How were you able to fix the hood gap? Friendput mine on and there's a half in gap that's seems to be common with these. Aslo were you able to use the original break duct vents?

Hood gap was gone after removing the rubber gasket from the old bumper and putting on the new one.

Brake duct vents were fine.

My problem was getting the inside fender liners to line up.

Default 3is Conversion Bumper for ISC

cjatkinson-
Sorry that this is from an old thread but I just put the 3is conversion bumper on my ISC and have the same issue you described about the inner fender lining hanging too low below the bumper. It sounds like it's not an issue when modding the 2is sedans. How did you resolve it? Here are a couple pics of what I am talking about. Also, I do not seem to have any mounting points for the lower side tabs (each tab has two holes) of the bumper.
Thanks!
Jim

Hello. I believe I removed the ducts & replaced the fender wells with a set from ebay that has holes to attach to bumper. I will upload some pictures later this week

Default 3is Conversion Bumper-ISC

Thanks, ohisee! Were the inner fender linings you bought on ebay the ones for the 2is sedan? Sounds like they may be a bit shorter than the convertible ones and may do the trick.

Default 3is Conversion Bumper for ISC

So I wrapped up my 3is bumper upgrade. I did the initial fab work (brake ducts, radiator duct, bumper cuts parking sensor holes) and brought it to JM Lexus for the final fit and paint. Thanks again to Sinister2c and Benmunger in our forum for all of their help and insight during this project. Ben gave me a lot of tips and encouragement to take the plunge and do the conversion (I went to see his conversion in person!).

Below are a couple pics of before, during and after. The overall fit was very good but I did have to shorten my inner wheel liners so that they did not hang below the bumper. A heat gun helped with this. The bumper material is much thinner and more flexible than the OEM bumper so there were a few challenges with the paint process. The material is especially thin where the headlight washer provisions are, which would look wavy after the painting and heating process. Since my car does not have this option we attached washer caps directly to the bumper to avoid the cosmetic flaw.

I am very happy with the new look!
