Post Power Rearview Mirror,

The outside power mirrors have both come loose at the post where they swivel.
Any idea if there is a factory fix for this problem?
Has anyone on the forum had this problem with their IS 250?

The IS-C forum is pretty quiet. I'd post this in the regular proper generation forum. Also some pics of the problem might help.

This is a problem for Toyota manufactured cars. I have had to fix both of my mirrors. I followed a you tube video on how to do it and added an extra step to make sure it doesn't happen again. I drilled holes in the tube that the mirror swivels on and installed a cotter pin to keep the retainer on.

The guy in the video uses a plumbers pipe wrench and that is rather difficult. I used an oxygen sensor socket and that works real nice.
