Has anyone had rattle in hardtop convertible that had been fixed and corrected, what was done and how much was cost?
took vehicle to dealership, they confirm rattle and say to wait til it gets worse, they stated that fixing it can be $1500 in labor and $1500 in parts but can not guarantee that it will correct problem, where should I take this issue??? thanks

Can you feel where the rattle is coming from? it is usually just a grommet, screw, or clip that needs to be seated/tightened.

I have the same problem too. It's somewhere in the rear where passengers would sit. I think there was a thread addressing the issue somewhere

I have 2010 is350 with a knock problem from the roof. dealer said it is not fixable, so I live with it.

Rattles can be difficult to fix. Reading the service history on my car, the previous owner had the car work on many times for rattles. There is a service bulletin that calls for an alignment alignment procedure that takes 8.6 hours (or more accurately, that is all Lexus would pay the dealer if done under warranty). But this particular procedure might not be what is needed. If the roof had to be completely removed and reassembled, I can see the labor being $1500. As for parts, it is possible none are needed.

I bought a 2010 is350c about 2 months ago. 86,000 miles. I also had a rattle in the rear compartment. I found that the lug wrench was loose and rattling around in the spare tire well. Secured and fixed!

You were lucky and got off easy. May all you problems be little ones like that.

There were six recalls on the car. Do you know if any of them were done?

Yes, all recalls done. I asked for and received all service records. Only recall not done was the airbag. Done within 2 weeks of purchase.
