Am I Crazy? [to trade '02 SC430 for '10 IS350C]
I have been driving a red 2002 SC430 since March of 2009. When I bought it, it had about 50,000 miles on it. It now has 113,000. I just had it painted last year, but now the seats are worn, the ride is rough, the AC has a delay coming on, and the vents have all cracked and need to be adjusted individually.
I've been looking at IS350C's, and today pulled the trigger and bought a dark gray 2010 IS350C with 21,000 miles on it. They were asking almost 26,000 for it, and with my trade I got it for 20,999 (21,000) out the door. It's pretty emaculate.
I'm pretty excited and sad at the same time. I loved my SC, but I am also excited about this "new" update.
Thoughts?

Actually getting excited now I like nice cars but not always the price that goes along with them. This is too good a deal to pass up. It is literally the car that granny drove only to church and took to every service appointment! Time for me now!
Thanks so much. If I'm crazy, so be it.

It's much newer and just about the only convertible Lexus will have for the forseeable future - and even if they make one for the LC, it will be stratospheric in price range. I think the IS-C occupies a very unique niche in Lexus' model history as a relatively affordable hardtop convertible, and with a reasonably modern design, feature set and interior. No, not crazy at all!

Thanks! I haven't picked her up yet and it's killing me. They are doing a bit of work on a small nick on top of the back bumper for me and buffing out a few minor scratches. The clear coat apparently looked rippled so my salesperson is having them redo it. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Since I Already signed the papers, and bought it already, it's not only killing me in anticipation, the long good-bye to my SC430 is bugging me too. She was just what I needed after a bad divorce. Red car, hair blowing in the wind, people looking my way. She still is the beauty in the parking lot amongst the neutral color cars. She is a stand out. Hopefully my new baby will be too.
