Does the top just stop and hold position if you let go of the button in the middle of open/close operation?

When the top is down, and you push the front defrost button, does the A/C also comes on? On my RX, the A/C always come on with defrost (even when the A/C light is off), I understand this helps defrost the front window faster. But in a convertible, I would like to have full heat towards the window in the fall. (yeah, I'm that guy in a toque with the top down, windows up while it's freezing out) Thanks.

 

If you stop mid way going down it will most likely slowly keep going down, so what I do is stop going down and than start going back up and it will hold. Yes the ac works the same with top up or down.
