I really miss a convertible after I had to give up my 911 cab. The manual transmission was too much for my bad left knee. My daily ride is a GS350 and I love the leg room and drive of the car. In certain respects is better than my old '09 BMW 535i.

I am strongly considering a IS cab. The question is which engine -- 2.5 or 3.5 ?

I love the performance of my 350, will I really miss the performance in the IS 250?

The leg room for my knee is almost the same in the IS as the GS.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I really like the Nebula Gray color on the IS.

You will not be happy with the 250 after having cars with power, go for the 350C.

I found two 2012 IS C's at a local dealer, which I believe are configured just as I would have ordered them. A IS250 C in Obsidian/Saddle and IS350 C in Nebula Gray/Black. Both have the Luxury Package, Nav, Zenon/LED headlights and windscreen.

Now is the time to go to the dealer and crunch numbers. I think that I would go for the 350 in the Nebula Gray.
