I’m of course Team USBeautiful, but I saw the LC in the Cadmium Orange and it stopped me cold. If not USB, I’d go the CO route. The CC (IMO) needs more real estate in order to appreciate it. That’s why it works well on SUVs. In either case, it’s an LC, it’ll make a paper bag look sexy as hell. 😎
The wrap itself has done its job. as you can see I live in the high deserts of CA and rocks and free sand blasting from the Santa Ana winds is the norm out here. even my headlights are treated w/ clear PPF. the stealth or matte wrap was a no brainer for me as it made the incognito gray more appealing to me.
I was just quoted ceramic for entire car and rims, PPF all front (full hood, front bumper, front fenders, mirrors), door edges, CF side skirts. It will be with Suntek 8mm film. The Suntek will already have a layer of ceramic. The ceramic coating will be for 3 years and the PPF for 12-years. all for $2,425.50 that includes a 10% discount. What do you all think? I am considering PPF because I am planning on driving 4-5 hours trips every 6 months and I love a well maintain car. I don't drive it everyday and I still wash it by hand at least twice a month. The other factor is that I don't plan on getting rid of this car. I will run this car to the ground! I am at 2700+ miles now so I don't want to keep driving around unprotected.
It is costly, but my wife's 2019 ES front bumper/hood scares me….
My last road trip- I don't want to have to this this again….
well worth it...especially in FL! i was so tired of my bug filled grille/hood/lights, etc!!! ...and minor rock chips. i ceramic coated over my PPF as well. did the quote include headlight treatment? ask about that as well. price is pretty good...especially compared to CA pricing!

I have the same PPF setup and Ceramic coating (different brands though) and couldn't recommend it enough. The PFF has self healed itself enough times while saving my paint that it has made it worth it, plus maintenance cleans are a breeze. That painter's tape setup is cringeworthy though so please don't ever do it again lol

Do it! I paid around $2800 and it has saved my bacon more times than I can count! I’m at 15k miles in 15 months, I shudder at what it could’ve looked like without it.

Yep... I managed to get rock chips less than 1,000 miles in. I thought I could wait a little bit but nah.
Honestly, at this point I am going to be okay with some level of wear and tear because I will have to be. But if I could do it over, I would've gotten PPF as soon as possible instead of procrastinating.

I would also extend it up the rear doors, since that's where I have noticed the most "damage" to the Ceramic Coat. Plus, if it makes you feel better, my detailer did extensive paint prep and corrections on the car because of the color, so even if you did it early, you'd likely be getting the same work done.

You can still do it. I didn’t get mine done until a month after I had the car. The paint correction was part of the package. Plus…there’s a warranty. Just say when and I’ll send the info. The shop is near Marietta and you’ll be w/o the car for a week.
Just noticed my first rock chip on my bumper, ugh at least near the very bottom. Is that part being plastic going to be more prone to chips? What will a PPF installer do about these before installing PPF?

I think they may want to touch it up. Makes sense to me. Otherwise, it'll still be visible with the film on... Obviously I think it's ultimately up to you. It's your car. I would personally just ask them to take a crack at it, especially if you have the touch-up paint for your car already.
Could anyone who did a full PPF chime in if their installer was able to do a 1 piece install on the rear trunk. My installer removed the spoiler, but ended up putting 2 sheets of film. One on the top and another on the rear, as in the picture. And the joint line is pretty visible. I have found some videos where the whole trunk was wrapped as a whole. Wanted to see how this was done for others.
This is where I have the line:
Thank you.

Reason: incoherent initial question
@Frunkey , the car looks great. I also went with a full PPF (did the front first). I was wondering , was your installer able to do a 1 piece application to the rear trunk? Somehow mine struggled and they had to do a straight cut right below the spoiler. But i've seen videos of our trunks being PPFed with 1 piece film.
Maybe anyone else on the thread could chime in? Do any of you guys have 1 piece film on is 500 trunk. I assume it's possible to do?
