I just spoke to Fernando at LexusofTucson and it is still in my name. Since he ordered it for me and I backed out I am hoping to find someone for him to sell to instead of him losing the sale. He is there for another 3 hours and the rest of the week. Let him know Michael referred you and all should be right in the world.
Congrats, I'm also on the list at Pohanka Lexus, as they don't do any markups nor mandatory dealer add ons so guessing that is why they have a longer list. Will be interesting to see how quickly this list moves with some people such as yourself getting their cars sooner from other dealers. Come on Caviar / Black!
not sure the color but look into this! Theres silver at another dealer in MD.
Regarding the Canadian Market, I recently checked with a local dealer here in Toronto about availability for the 2023 model year.
They told me they have one 2023 IS500 for their dealership without a factory order sitting in their showroom. All other subsequent IS500s are factory orders with $5k deposit.
Is this really the situation up here?
To those up here who have a 2022, did you order it or was it off the lot because someone backed out or the dealer was allocated it for inventory without a deposit?
Every single IS500 I have seen for 2023 has come with that wheel package. Sadly, we're stuck with them since that is how Lexus is building them. One dealership said they were willing to negotiate on the wheels, but I didn't get into that too much because their markup was not something I was willing to get into. I will let you know how my negotiations go when I get to that point to hopefully give you an idea in time.
that’s what my dealer said also they had to order it with bbs forged from the factory because they said that’s the only way they could order?
so is this true not sure if they were just giving me reasons so they could make more money?
I was kinda pissed when they told me that I ordered a base 500 but msrp was higher because of bbs.

I was under the impression that Lexus doesn't take orders. They give allocations and sends the dealership what their marketing team thinks is a hot ticket for a specific area.
So maybe Lexus decided BBS is the way to go. Unless you are getting Molten Pearl which comes with BBS wheels, I say you should try negotiating in the price of those wheels.

Ya the dealers are given zero input as to the color combo & options of the IS500(s) that they are sent. I’m sure some dealers randomly luck into getting allotted exactly what their customers specifically requested, or come close like this situation.
Question - other than the pics I posted of a black ‘23 IS500 with the Enkei wheels, has anyone else come across a ‘23 Premium model without the BBS wheels? Guessing Lexus is making the BBS wheels an almost mandatory option … helps offset some of the inflation spike while only bumping up the entry MSRP by a couple hundred dollars. Kind of like the $57k entry level model that nobody has seen for two years now.

There is/was one at my local dealer with the Enkei wheels. I don’t see it on cars.com anymore so it may be sold and the dealer website just slow to update.

I'm still on the list at Pohanka with a deposit down and I was told last week that I went from number 14 to 10 (told them I prefer white but will take anything). I'm waiting to 100% take delivery of my IS today before I call them and take my name off of the list though.
I hit up my sales guy Rachid last week because I saw three listed with them on cars dot com and he just told me where I was on the list nothing about available cars. I assume they're listing them to get people in the door but who knows?
