Dude was a little too eager to rev that engine though, momma needs to hide her keys in a few years. 😈

It’s caused by an air leak at the mid pipe gasket to the header. In new cars that get the CEL, it’s because the connection isn’t tight enough.
my car didn’t have the CEL issue until after I had the APEXi catback installed. The shop used APEXi gaskets and I got a CEL within a few days.
I re-installed the stock crush gaskets and haven’t had a CEL since. 🫰

Im starved for more content, I’ve re-watched all the other reviewers a few times now. I have 2400 miles in and I still watch videos on something I have in my parking space. It’s kinda ridiculous. 😜

^^ That was a good review but what he said about being a Luxury sedan with a great engine which is what I wanted. I didn't want a true sport sedan with a jarring suspension, that is what I like that it drives like a regular IS. Funny that he also says "We don't even know if this car will be available next year" - This guy is really plugged into to Lexus and Toyota so doesn he know something?

Sweet thanks! Without having watched the video I bet that he’s going to sell it soon. He doesn’t seem to keep cars for very long and I know he’s a truck guy.

Car has not been fixed yet due to parts on backorder. So my level of frustration and irritability on a scale from 1 to 10 is currently at 2000! Goes up everyday without it!

^^ I hate to worry you, and not saying the 500 is in the same boat but a friend had her 2022 Civic in a minor accident with about 4000$ worth of damage but need parts, they have it stored in a shop and said they won't get parts until at least the late fall or early winter. She will be about 8 months without her car and Honda says they are not providing replacement parts at this time as they want to alot those for building new cars. That is RIDICULOUS!!! Imagine paying 8 months for a car you can't drive. Her hubby's FORD truck broke down and he was 6 months waiting for his part, as soon as they repaired it, he ditched it.

Maybe I should get another IS 500 for it to be a donor car

When I picked her up in December from the Dealer. Some "youtube kid" (Exact words of the salesman) was throwing big $$$ over MSRP to take this car I had a deposit on. Thankfully, they didn't bite and I picked her up as expected. But they let him Film this and sent me the Video since she is mine lol

I watched it and would be willing to bet my own car that this kid doesnt have more than 20 subscribers. Also, friends don't let friends take vertical video.

I shouldn’t let it get to me, but when someone complains about the steering feel, I just roll my eyes. I know exactly what the car is doing throughout the entire ride. He’s ridiculous.

Now his comment about the car not rolling from a stop, it happen once a few weeks back. Hopefully it was an anomaly.

EDIT: …and another thing, this car is GREAT in the twisties! Flat, no brake fade, the seats hug you… Lexus…go get your car back from that dude! 😉
