My wife's vehicle is a Volvo V60 Platinum with the Polestar enhancement. 6 cyl Turbo with AWD, a real sleeper at about 350HP and the most comfortable seats in the world. I will have to pry it out of her cold, dead hands!

Although he got the hydraulic steering part wrong, I do think the steering has a little bit more of hydraulic like feel compared to other cars with electric steering. For example, it feels lot better than our BMW 330i (that feels so numb and disconnected with the road).

LOL! Best gif, period, 😂👏🏽

Call it what you like, SportCross or Wagon, I want one too! I super-freaking-duper LOVE the Audi RS6 Avant, but I don’t have Audi Longterm Ownership Maintenance money. Now an IS500 version, we can have a conversation! 😂

Several reviewers were fooled into thinking the steering was hydraulic. Go Lexus engineering team!

When done right, EPAS can be really, really good. I could've sworn the 981 Boxster S I drove had hydraulic steering. I looked it up later, and lo and behold - it was EPAS. Wow! I also felt the same way about the 991 Carrera 4 I drove. It actually moved in response to cracks in the road.

Now, I will say the way Lexus tuned our steering is way more "luxury" than "sport", as the wheel mutes out most of the information - but, I still feel things through the chassis and through the steering column itself, so it does not feel completely detached from the outside world like some cars I've driven... looking at you, BMW 3-series.

I will say having a '97 Supra Turbo with Hydraulic steering I would never confuse the two steering systems. The Supra very clearly communicates through the steering what is going on. The IS 500 in comparison is almost dead in terms of feedback. Maybe he had not driven a good hydraulic steering system before driving the IS. I will say in the battle of IS electronic steering the 3IS is far better than the 2IS (2013 IS 350) in terms of feel. The 2IS has dead spots where it almost seems disconnected and the rest of the time fake.

2025 Limited IS500 used as the pace car for the LFAs. There is also another Infrared 2024 IS 500 at 10:45.

This was amazing! I got excited at the 10:48 mark when the IS500 pulled. That’s stock goodness folks!

I first heard the stock pull at the Performance Driving School. I was like, who needs to buy an aftermarket exhaust, this beast is quite audible! Especially since I take off like that every chance I get. 😈

I wasn't wondering if the IS500 at 10:48 was bone stock. What a deep growl , different of course from the LFA higher pitched roars. I need to get someone else to drive my IS500 whilst I stand on the side of the road to get proper audible of it . :D

I did a hard pull passing my son in his car and he said the same thing "sounds great , nice growl and not loud" he offered to do a pull past me
let's see, 24 yrs old in my 3600 mile 500
