He did this one also. Guess he spent his day at the Lexus dealer. How nice of them to let him waste time there.

I used to watch their channel a lot for the kinda quick tours of cars, but they are pretty boring anymore.
I don't see how or at least why most of these youtubers get cars. Not checking facts, boring presentation, very basic or generic opinion offered 100x on other channels. I learned nothing about the BMW or the Audi in these videos. I gave up immediately I would learn anything on the IS, especially since I own one but I have a tiny bit of hope someone might provide a good review that "normies" can make an educated decision.

At least he has opinions and says things you would only know if you actually drove the car. Seems like a low bar, but it's one not many are clearing.
The speculation on the transmission being slow was odd. Talking about another IS 500 they drove that had better transmission performance on track, he says "I don't know if that one was tuned differently or something." lol my guy, it's called letting the car warm up. The one on track was already warm. Why would they change the tuning unannounced? Too funny.
1. The BV 500 they had on the track was the one Mike brought to the Sunday & Subs meet. It has PS4S tires and that’s it. (I’m sure it won’t be un-modded for too long!) 😎 They couldn’t believe the car moved as it did, which revealed their bias.
2. The BV bro-dude drove was brand new and not broken in. Unlike most reviewers, he respects that fact and does not wring out the engines. You’d think he’d take that into consideration instead dinging the car for slow shifts at 4K RPMs.
The IS might as well be 2 different vehicles below and above 4000 RPM.
Whilst I haven't driven an M340, I do drive the lesser 330i, so I have a sense of the overall dynamics, feel, of the BMW and can anticipate what the M340i could offer in a comparison against the IS500. The transmission, the hook-up you get with the awd system, the technology - all phenomenal and better in the BMW. Engine and exhaust note noise - no comparison whatsover - the BMW sounds like an electric car compared to the IS. The steering in the BMW is super numb, more so I feel compared to the IS. I'm hesitant to take the BMW hard around corners - I'm just not getting enough feedback. Maybe its better in the M340 (although I hear from BMW owners this is a chief complaint of theirs). I feel more confident doing this with the IS500 once in sport+ mode, manual mode, and the suspension has stiffened up nicely. And this with the crappy bridgestones still on (I'm sure would get much better with the Michelins or Continental extremes). I like the BMW for more leisurely, uneventful, luxury rides, but prefer the IS500 for when I'm in the mood for shenanigans. For me personally, if I could only have one - hands down , would take the IS500 over the M340i. For me, I'd need to go higher - M3 or above to warrant a change. Just my opinions on this matter living with both brands for a while now.
Ridiculous.

At this point (2 years in); I have thoroughly over-used the Jekyll & Hyde characterization, but I haven’t found anything else to better describe the 500!
