Do you have a room to rent?

If you are going to deal with a broker/re-seller, expect to get about 5-8k less than what the market is calling for IMO as they will need to make a profit too.

It is really unfortunate that you have to sell it so quickly after getting it, I know you had been looking at the UE also, but the IS 500 is a great car. I get it though, in my case, while money is not the issue, I am just debating how long I will keep mine. I may just get rid of mine and just drive a regular car where I don't have to worry about not driving it all winter and worrying every time I drive it. I am retiring and I have been thinking of selling the house and move to a nicer/warmer climate so off loading the IS would make sense too.
This guy cracks me up. IIRC he's on his 3rd IS500, hasn't even driven his newest bc of the snow in Canada, and he's already talking about selling it. You just can't take some people seriously lol.

^^ First, I am on my 2nd IS 500, not the 3rd so let's set that straight. second, I have every right to not drive my car in teh salt and sand - If you didn't live in your little sunshine paradise, you would understand how detrimental our weather and chemicals are to our cars. I said MAY because I am aware that I don't drive it much, not because I don't love it but there is a limited window of opportunity of when I can drive it. I MAY also just keep it, not drive much and flip it for something else down the road . This is my 6th Lexus since 2015 (all IS except for 1 RC) - I am not saying I won't buy other cars but I might just get something totally different and that I can drive year round without worrying about it.

Now I have over 4400 posts and been an active contributor on this forum - I try and help people or make them laugh - I would rather be this way than simply throwing insensitive comments about someone without truly knowing them. I would want to believe that facts are far more credible than cheap shots

I've always been curious too. I'm a weather nerd and I'm really hoping we don't get slammed this weekend.

If we do it'll be interesting to see how the Michelin PS4 all seasons do in significant snow.

Do what many retired Canadians do: become a snowbird. Buy a condo AND another IS500 in Florida and drive that one during the winter, and then return to Canada for the summer to drive your other IS500 . . Let us know if there is any difference between the Canadian and American IS500's. LOL.

i had the same thought process in mind too. either way it doesn't hurt to list for sale early.

As someone who grew up in South Florida, I can verify this. Only difference is back then you had to buy a big Coupe de Ville with Quebec plates saying "je me souviens”

update*

63-64K seems to be the high end of what entities are willing to pay for my vehicle. so private sale should land me around 66-69K. the problem is idk how easy it'll be to find a damn solid buyer.

You're unlikely to get 66-69k from private sale since that's what Certified pre-owned models are going for, if not lower. Certified > private sale generally because it carries an extra warranty and 4 free oil changes, which you can't offer.

And you're right, getting 60k+ in cash from someone will be difficult, unless you live in a HCOL where everyone is swimming in money.
