FWIW, a 2025 with 9K miles sold for $58,500 plus $2925 buyer’s fee on BaT last month.

Coils and exhaust though. As a recent used buyer, I skipped over any listing with mods. I wanted a stock car. PPF or ceramic would add value IMO.

Carfax seems to indicate sketchy history. Could be why it went to auction and sold at low price..

i took a look at it. nothing seems extremely crazy. regardless it was fair mileage and 1 owner with no accidents reported.

the seller had it on cars and bids. it’s not like it was a wholesale dealer auction. there’s a huge difference between the two concepts.

TEXUSLEXUS (LexusHouston) - Are you trying to do a private sale or deal with a broker? I think if you look at what is available for sale across the US, you will get a rough idea of what the car is worth and you can then have an idea of what to ask for if you are doing a private sale. If you are going to deal with a broker/re-seller, expect to get about 5-8k less than what the market is calling for IMO as they will need to make a profit too.

It is really unfortunate that you have to sell it so quickly after getting it, I know you had been looking at the UE also, but the IS 500 is a great car. I get it though, in my case, while money is not the issue, I am just debating how long I will keep mine. I may just get rid of mine and just drive a regular car where I don't have to worry about not driving it all winter and worrying every time I drive it. I am retiring and I have been thinking of selling the house and move to a nicer/warmer climate so off loading the IS would make sense too.

It could be something minor, but it could also be the reason the first owner gave it up.

Don't do it weatherman, if money is not an issue go away in the winter and come back in the spring to drive your car, or maybe have another house in a warmer climate where your forum members can use in the summer

Bad time to sell: Winter in most of US, lot's of inventory and choices, lot's of foreclosures and short sales, and most Americans are tapped out. All this pushes prices down. You should wait for the spring at a minimum. Market may rebound a bit, especially for V8 Lexus cars that are no longer made.
