TEXUSLEXUS (LexusHouston) - Are you trying to do a private sale or deal with a broker? I think if you look at what is available for sale across the US, you will get a rough idea of what the car is worth and you can then have an idea of what to ask for if you are doing a private sale. If you are going to deal with a broker/re-seller, expect to get about 5-8k less than what the market is calling for IMO as they will need to make a profit too.
It is really unfortunate that you have to sell it so quickly after getting it, I know you had been looking at the UE also, but the IS 500 is a great car. I get it though, in my case, while money is not the issue, I am just debating how long I will keep mine. I may just get rid of mine and just drive a regular car where I don't have to worry about not driving it all winter and worrying every time I drive it. I am retiring and I have been thinking of selling the house and move to a nicer/warmer climate so off loading the IS would make sense too.

Don't do it weatherman, if money is not an issue go away in the winter and come back in the spring to drive your car, or maybe have another house in a warmer climate where your forum members can use in the summer
Bad time to sell: Winter in most of US, lot's of inventory and choices, lot's of foreclosures and short sales, and most Americans are tapped out. All this pushes prices down. You should wait for the spring at a minimum. Market may rebound a bit, especially for V8 Lexus cars that are no longer made.
