Here's one with PPE Resonated X-Pipe mated to OEM Axleback. Just slightly louder with the Remark, IMO.

I don't think you saw this particular set up and video on Remark's Website, because that's not their set up.

I'm interested in the apexi resonated mid pipe. I'm reading about fitment issues with regards to a support brace. I'm trying to confirm if it's limited to a particular brand. Or maybe it's random based on variances in build. The other thread is 50 pages and I skimmed it. Anyone have first hand experience? Thanks!

We've sold MANY of these and haven't had a single fitment issue or leak issue. Great quality, great fitment.

We have more coming in February, we highly recommend preordering for anyone interested.

I am interested in the Apexi resonated mid-pipe as well, my only holdup is that I would like to hear it from inside the car first before purchase. I had the Apexi cat back and it was just too much for me in the 2500-3500 RPM range, it drove me crazy! (boominess) The nice thing is the IS500 is a special car and not a dime a dozen, the bad thing is the IS500 is a special car and not a dime a dozen. Trying to find someone local to me that would have the setup I want to listen to has been very difficult as I really don't see many in Western PA... oh I have seen NONE! So I am taking the bad with the good and leaving it stock for now.

I am also extremely tempted by the Apexi resonated mid-pipe. Would love a bit more exhaust when pushing the car but do NOT want drone. I had an aftermarket exhaust on my NC Miata and the drone was terrible… plus I have sensitive ears.

Really would love to hear one in person before pulling the trigger. Buying an aftermarket exhaust isn’t like an Amazon purchase that can be easily returned if not happy.

BTW — I am located in the Raleigh NC area if anyone has one installed….

Forgive my ignorance, but what’s the advantage to doing that? The resonated Apexi midpipe with the OEM axleback.

If it louder? throatier? Any noticeable power delivery difference?

That's what I'm running. It is noticably louder, but deeper as well. Zero drone. Increase in torque (even more when tuned for it). For me, the oval tailpipes are a must. I asked my tuner, and was told "the axle back is mostly for sound," so there's not a lot of power to be had. Considering the IS-F, RC-F, and GS-F all have the flat spots crushed into the axle back, I think there's a reason for it, so I'm ok with it, and I really like the sound.

Louder yes, sounds different, power difference slightly since removing secondary cats.

What Lexus OEM gasket is required when installing the apexi midpipe, so that a check engine light does not come on?
