Well the UE is likely gonna be about 6500$ US before any markup but my dealer is selling mine at MSRP.

Thanks for the clarification - The fact that some dealers are not taking any new orders still makes me think things are winding down fast - I am curious when the UE will start appearing on the portal. I was watching a Japanese youtube video (translated) and they indicated the Tahara plant was getting ready for the UA/Climax production and they will start showing up in August (there likely)

 

When it's all said and done, I wonder how many IS500's would have produced for the Canadian market since 2022? Let's play Price is Right. I say 1001.

 

^^ Given how few are sold in Atlantic Canada, I want to say that the number is likely sub 1000 - I bid 895 Bob! (with my tight t-shirt wiggling them)

 

My sales rep told me the same thing which is special appearance is sold out, but he’s still pretty confident that my regular IS500 order would still go through as he said I placed the order in early June. But who knows maybe the regular trim would eventually get cancelled and the ultimate edition would be the last batch.

 

^^ There is no question the regular IS 500 will be done at the end of this production cycle - even Japan is saying that. The question is when is the production going to wrap to start the UE/CE because these are expected to arrive in late August in Japan and likely shortly after here. They'll be producing about 1000 of these. The fact that some dealers have stopped taking orders is indicative that the end is near but the fact that your order has already been placed, you are fine - Just hoping your dealer will get the allocation. Just to give you some perspective, in the fall of 2021, my dealer had requested a 2022 white on white IS 500 for me. The order was initially accepted but about 2 months later, I was called and said that it would not be able to get the allocation. Mind you this was during COVID and production was somewhat limited, but all this to say that a dealer can put a request in, but until the dealer gets the notification that the car is in transit and is allocated to them, nothing is 100% guaranteed. I truly hope it works out for all of you waiting for one

BTW - For those of you in southern Ontario, there is an USB with red interior in Ajax.

 

I believe there's a couple that got bought here in the west and shipped to the UAE and China and then got sold there

My sales rep told me there’s an iridium/red coming in aug, my initial ideal combo in mind was cloudburst gray/red. Should I jump on this? Iridium red honestly is pretty sick too..

 

I think Iridium is a more interesting color than cloudburst gray. More of a light blue than purple. It's also a newer color. And I agree that Iridium/Red looks great.

 

thanks for the info, iridium was actually one of the colors I was considering initially, maybe its meant to be lol I like the ultimate edition paint color but not a big fan of the black/red interior, imo looks a bit cheap

 

There was a time I ranked Iridium as my 2nd fave color after Caviar (after they discontinued Atomic silver which was my 2nd fave). But lately I've been liking Cloudburst Gray a lot. You can't go wrong either way esp with red interior.
