the dealers I talked to said lexus is still taking orders on regular IS500 though? does that mean the regular orders probably won't get fulfilled then?
They can still take orders, but if the IS 500 is truly getting axed, then you may or may not get the exterior/interior combination you want. When I ordered mine in June 2023, the dealership informed me that it could take at least a year to get my vehicle because they are not custom built, but allocated randomly. Dealerships can then trade vehicles with other dealerships. But lo and behold, they called me in August 2023 to pick it up. It was nice, but I missed out on the power folding mirrors of the latter years.
Anyway, unless there’s a formal announcement from Lexus that the IS500 is gone forever, there is still hope.
What are everyone's thoughts here: Bearing in mind that others have done brake upgrades on their IS500 from the RCF/GSF/ISF, how realistic is it to get the Ultimate Edition brakes for my '23 IS500? Don't really care about the cost, so that's not a factor. But that's all I really want from this model. My particular car, Atomic over White, is actually more rare than the UE. I don't really want to trade up, as re-doing all my mods would be a huge pain. My car also happens to be one without any of the bumper issues or any other minor things that have affected some IS500s. But dang, I'd sure love to have better brakes!

I dont think it will be a problem if the calipers fit with your wheels. I would bet the UE does not have unique rotors or calipers, just a unique dust shield if they're gsf/rcf parts, which is probably 99% likely.
All the gs/rc parts fir out BBS wheels, but not the Enkei. If you have Enkei wheels I doubt the gs/rc stuff won't fit without spacers and the UE brakes will probably be the same way.

I do have BBS wheels. That's kinda what I was thinking.

Right on, same with my spec. I need to do more research and talk to Lexus parts, thought I read on other forums the UE calipers will fit the Enkeis. E.g. The ISF calipers fit w/o any issues. Only issue with the ISF, if front and backs are wanted, then you will lose the E-Brake on the rears. I’d rather leave everything in working order, so the UE’s calipers seems best to me. (Plus I won’t need to get spacers to get the RCF/GSF calipers installed, but I don’t think they’ll fit the Enkeis period.) Different issues I’ve read online.

It would be great if they fit! But that would mean the UE uses old IS F calipers or has a whole new setup for one model year.

Definitely share anything you find out Tony! I think a number of us are in the same camp.
^^ thanks for sharing! Why can't Lexus of NA do anything like this!? We have no videos, barely any pics, it's as though they don't want to sell this thing!
^^ we think they'll be the same...the specs are all the same so they may have a different name for the color as they have for the model, like ultimate versus climax but they should be identical

I see, the paint looks good in this video. That makes sense they’ll probably spend the last few months producing 1000 of these special editions
