How much did you pay for a new wheel?
 

The wife drove over a pothole and bent the wheel. I am looking for buying a new OEM front wheel. Here is the best price I can find. I am wondering where do you guys get your wheels.

Talk to your dealer? They are a super common wheel now...

Ouch :cry:. Have your tried used or someone that replaced theirs OEM BBS with other wheels? Facebook, Craigslist, Ebay, Marketplace here on this site?

They asked for $2k...

Thanks for the tips. I haven't looked into it yet. I thought they typically sell a set. It may be different to get just one. I will give it a search later.

Wouldn't hurt to try junk yards too. There are people here that have bought totaled IS 500s with several wheels damaged but 2 or 3 still good. Good luck!

An individual BBS wheel will pop up on ebay occasionally, and they go fast if they're not messed up. Love the design of the wheel but it's like $7k for a full set new. Just too much.

Can’t tell from the picture but probably could try several alloy wheel repair places near you including mobile. Usually don’t charge if they can’t fix it.

Thanks guys for the help. I found a few new or mint wheels on eBay but non of it worked out. Price too high or I have to buy tires. I ended up buying a new one from MyLparts (a dealer in North CA) for 1.5k
Looking forward to drive the car again next week.

I still don't get why these particular BBS wheels are so expensive. How is BBS still making wheels? They've went bankrupt 5 times and have filed for insolvency.

All that being said, the CI-R wheels are freaking beautiful.

Yeah. Tell me about it! I know it is made by BBS and it is forged aluminum. But it doesn't worth the $2k retail price imo. I looked into some other options like BBS CI-R and Ray volks. But the lead time is too much. This is my daily driver. Getting the OEM wheel made the most sense.

Great, new just gives you that great feeling despite the cost.

It’s really surprising how easily those wheels bend and crack for being made by BBS and forged. Good thing they’re at least beautiful. Those CI-R are gorgeous though.
