The worlds first SUPERCHARGED IS500 - 600+ Wheel HP

Mods, this is NOT a sales post, so please don't move to the vendor section. We are just celebrating a milestone for the new IS500 platform.
*No Sales related pricing or questions will be answered here. Our website is in our signature.

If you haven't had a chance to see on social Media, we were able to secure and supercharge the very first IS500.

I'm surprised this has sparked no interest on here. 🤷‍♂️

Owners just waiting for warranties to end first :driving:

I mean I'm interested, but given the tiny wheel wells on this car, and my use case for it, I don't have a desire to spend that amount of money to make tire smoke.

I think as time goes on people will start to bite. Did you guys move from Exton? Every time I drive to that WalMart I look for tire marks on Commerce Drive.

What is the widest tire we can run out back? I think you mentioned 305's are too big in another thread. I should know this by now.

The biggest I've seen anybody mount on stock fenders is a 275 and unless that's a 275 drag radial it's only gonna hook up in 3rd or 4th gear and up.

I was just referring to the fact that there's now a Supercharged 600wheel IS500 roaming the streets. Social media was really buzzing about it. Youtube and Social media has some major engagement over it. You are right though. The cars are still very new, and most people are using them as full daily family cars. I expect another year or 2 there will be many supercharged.

I bet we would be fine on a summer tire and a 275 or 285. Something like an R888 would be great too. I doubt we need a drag radial, on a totally stock car it's probably 420-430 rwtq, not exactly a street beast lol The unlucky people on 91 octane would be making even less power. 1st gear would be useless, but I bet 2nd would hook pretty good still. Even on my AS4 tires I have more traction than OE tires, I think the PS4s would handle the power fine.

Possibly,

I previously had a GT500 and at 550whp it would blow the 285's off in 1st and usually 2nd. By the time it made 660whp, 2nd never had a chance and was instant smoke. Those were just Nitto NT555's but even a PS4S would have been spinning. Give the low torque numbers from this centrifugal style blower it won't have the massive torque hit that the positive displacement blower will.

You said it, different blower style. And a lower displacement engine too. The GT500 with instant boost and gobs of low end torque would definitely struggle for traction more.

That's what makes it hard to compete with AWD cars! All the power spinning the wheels isn't going to do much.

Great work rr racing!!!

Don't think it's a matter of little interest, most people like more power. It's a mix of price, warranty, and emissions.

eyelevel May 7, 2025 05:48 AM

Between the car, current exhaust, transport there, supercharger, transport back - I'd be approaching Avant RS6 pricing. I could hear my wife now, "I told you to get the wagon. It would have been more practical anyway." :egads:

Forgot about emissions, that'll kill the fun quick lol

But you'd have a Lexus and one heck of a sleeper!

I like the kit, wouldn't want to do it any other way. I just don't want the 91 octane hit and need a CARB approval anyway. CA sucks the fun out of everything.

Did you mention in another thread about moving to Tennessee? Won't have to worry about any of that stuff.
