Which OBD2 cable did you buy and use? I’m reading around Club Lexus and I’m reading that you need the correct cable to run with the newer Tech Stream software?

As for the procedure do: (9,10,11)?

9. KEY REGISTRATION (PROCEDURE "F")11. REMOTE DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK REGISTRATION (PROCEDURE "H")

12. REMOTE ENGINE START AND STOP REGISTRATION (PROCEDURE "I")

Thanks for all your help so far!

Any luck with posting the vids? That FB group requires membership and I think it expires as I remember joining at some point.

I just completed the installation of the driver's side. It's a FPITA. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. Podcasts in the background and a few birras with no one bothering me in the garage. It's just a lot of disassembling just to get to the part that swaps out with the motor. The only really difficulty was removal of the 3 screws holding the mounting bracket to the motor. They used red thread locker (no idea why) and the shittiest lowest quality philips-head screws that are made of butter. I was able to get one, the other 2 I had to drill out.

I'll tackle the passenger side after work this week and now that I know what I'm doing, I'll record every step for those interested.

You might want to try a JIS screwdriver instead. Phillips don't work well in JIS heads

Thank you for that tip. I never knew about JIS screwdrivers. Will order a set first thing tomorrow before tackling the other side. Thx

I wonder if you could retrofit these onto the RC.

I've used a hot soldering iron (with no solder on it) to heat up red loctite screws before tackling them. The heat weakens the locite.

Lexus finally has their extra 15% sale going on. The BCM is at its lowest price if anyone is interested. I'm debating jumping on it or waiting until later this year.

It's from my RC 1/8 Nitro buggy/RC Heli days. We used red loctite on critical screws that always seem to back out. So I got used to applying heat to them before disassembly

Did all of your cars come without auto folding mirrors?
