Been reading this thread. Strange issue. I've taken fronts off before, but, when done carefully they always went
back just fine and stayed in place.
So, is this still an issue with the 2025 models? Just looking ahead to when mine arrives and what MAY be down the
road for my car and possible "separation."
Thanks Everyone!

and put $$ in to a fix since the 2025 is it for the IS.
Kinda funny....maybe.??? I'm trading a great car, my 2024 TLX Type S, of which they only made approx. 500 and about double
that for 2025...and the entire line of TLX's were finished on July 29th. And I'm getting the last year of a model to be made!!
But, for a guy like me who is a NA V8 lover....it will be pretty cool having the last "luxury V8 4 dr" in my garage and on the streets
at times. I will baby it for sure. If the Mustang hadn't put in that damn stupid wrap around "tv screen" slapped to the dash I'd probably
would have bought my 13th Mustang V8. But, that "tv screen" stopped my purchase. Hate it.
Appreciate your info and help. New to Lexus so trying to learn all the "weird stuff" ahead of my car's delivery.
^^ There was a TSB that was issued for Lexus USA (not available in Canada) but I think it's posted here earlier in the thread somewhere....But the bottom line is that the TSB was a bad patch job with ziptie and epoxy. At first, people thought it was a joke but it was truly the TSB. The few that had it done concluded that it barely lasted a few weeks and the separation occurred again. Quite a few got the Etsy fix (he is a forum guy) but keep in mind that some didn't care, some wasn't as bad so they never bothered and some never had the issue....plus the others that are not on the forum and even aware of this fix. You can hold off until you get yours and wait a bit and see if your bumper will sag. Mine started after my 2nd summer of driving it (I park it in the winter) but mine is not overly bad. I ordered the Etsy fix to make sure I had one as a back up and MAY have it done this fall when I get my oil service before storing it for the winter.
As for teh Mustang, I agree, the interior is not the greatest but my biggest gripe is that I never was a true sport's car enthusiast (Mustang, camaro, Corvette, Supra etc) - I just don't like the low seating position and such but that is just me...The IS 500 is a sweet spot for me and why I am hoping to hold on to mine for as long as I can - I am strongly moving out of Canada next year when I retire and depending on where I go will determine what I do with my 500.

I saw a new company that does brackets for bumper sag for Japanese cars. The company is Mac Lifters from Australia I believe. They make bracket kits for a few Lexus's including the ISF, but not the IS 500. Maybe if enough of us contact them they will make a bracket kit for the IS 500. It looks very sturdy as opposed to what is out there now. Send them a email.

^^ have you not been following the pinned thread on this issue? Lexus has a TSB (that is a disaster) but a forum member has developed a fix for this and most people that are on here and had the issue, have ordered the part and it's a great fix
I have tried the Etsy product and it did not work well for me. I put the black one in and it did not hold the tab after a couple of weeks. I switched to the red one and it did not stay attached. Now I have to push the fender in because it sticks out a bit after driving a couple of days. I should have left it alone. The steel bracket that Mac Lifters has would be much more solid. That's why it would be nice if they made one for the IS 500.
^^ I am sure the person who developed the fix will chime in but I am just wondering if you pushed the bumper really hard to snap it in place after you put the black piece in.....Anyway, sorry it didn't seem to do the trick for you. Some people have used "turn buckle" I believe they are called (early in the thread) and that has worked also except I would rather not go that route unless teh Etsy fix didn't work on mine

I've always been able to help people get theirs working using some installation techniques. But even if we can't get it to work I'd love to know so you could not only be refunded but also so I can figure out why it didn't work. So far everyone that's contacted me with issues has had it resolved after some troubleshooting.
checking back in with an update after about 3 months post-dealer fix... its still holding up well & hasn't started sagging again. about to put the car away for the winter in the next month so ill check back with updates once spring rolls back around.
