It has been confirmed its coming! Rumors were that its electric, but now it will be on the same chassis as the CT4/CT5 and will fit their TTV6/Supercharged V8 drivetrain as well. One outlet said 682hp supercharged V8 variant, but definitely not confirmed. That chassis is incredible from what everyone says so my expectations are high.

I may mess my pants if there's a supercharged Corvette SUV in the $100k neighborhood that doesn't look like a Pontiac Aztec.

Got the Motorola MA1 Android Auto adapter. Absolutely amazing! Was pretty much plug and play. I can't believe I just now thought to dig into this topic. Could have been using it with my current car for a couple of years or however long its been out.

the V8 Blackwing are beautiful monsters. There's no need for a corvette suv. The mustang SUV is hideous and not needed.

I really hope they don't Mustang the Corvette SUV. A nicely done Corvette SUV would make my head seriously turn, can't lie lol. Something even more comfortable than my Lexus and just as fast or faster? Yes please!

I landed in this boat, too. Although we definitely didn't need a new car (since everything was paid off and reliable), I viewed this is what could possibly be my last reasonable chance to grab a 0-mile, V8, RWD sedan with the ability to go multiple years without major issues.

I would bet that by the end of 2024, this whole project will go quietly into the night, just like the Chevrolet SS and Pontiac G8 did. A short 4-5 year run, proven parts, and phase out with any fanfare. The market for this car is narrow, and doesn't really warrant them going overboard to bid it farewell.

We're following through with our purchase. In my mid-30's, I don't care nearly as much about racing or being the fastest. Sport/Luxury with enticing noises and a proven platform are what I wanted; track performance and bench racing is irrelevant to me. And, to be fair, almost any Lexus product is going to be a huge step up in performance and luxury compared to a 2015 WRX.

I guess Lexus nailed me to the wall when they made this car.

Extraordinarily narrow. Quite a few IS500's sitting in the showrooms here for months until the enthusiast shows up and decides - what the heck, lets' go for it. This in a city of 6M+.
Other the other hand, dealer can't keep up with the NX's and RX's flying off the lots before they even touch down. The fascination of the masses with these SUV's is something else.

Hello, newbie here.... I recently discovered this model and by consequence, this forum, and I am very interested in the IS500. Been reading most of y'alls comments and makes me want one even more.

Here's my question, any word on a 2024 model? All I can find is weird AI looking websites, nothing definitive for news.

I will be coming from a Mercedes C300. Fun little car to wind up, but I would like some "umph" in my life now to get out of people's way and have the power to avoid trouble. We have a Ford ST Explorer, and that has a lot of get up and go, but a lot of top heavy weight, along with turbo lag.

Look forward to listening.....I'll be over there ------------------> listening....Thanks

For heavens sakes, let the man get his feet wet before doing that mac-thing.

Dave - Welcome and don’t pay our crazy brother NO MIND. Poor thing has howled at the moon one time too many and ain’t fully right. 😉

The 2024s are seriously up in the air, so I would focus on the unsold 2023 models. A number of dealers are selling at MSRP now, so strike while the market is kind of faltering…if you can. Good luck and let us know what’s going on!

General consensus is, without any supporting evidence, that no changes will be seen for 2024 models as the IS is supposedly scheduled to be redesigned for the 2025 model year.

That being said there will probably be yet another special/limited edition for 2024. Not worth waiting to see what that’ll look like when you can just get one now and have a blast in the months to come.

@macmaster Please exit the thread. At this point I'm not sure you understand what "no politics discussion" means, but you also don't understand how to welcome new members, which is possibly even more sad.
