I just hit over 1100 miles after 2 months of ownership and after a wash I noticed another rock chip in my front driver wheel, this one is a decent size though and is on the outer edge of the rim, so it is much noticeable than my other tiny chip. Both are on my driver side front wheel, the rest are perfect. I did some major driving this past week(s) and Southern Cali freeways have so much crap on them from all the semi's and random debris... and how easy these scratch and chip it's only a matter of time for me. Just make a mental note that it's not a garage queen and it shows you're driving these bad boys (or girl).
PS: I did find a good matte black paint from Amazon that matches decent enough. It's much better than the aluminum that shows through making chips painfully obvious.
Got a link to the touch-up paint? Could you also post pics of the paint on the wheel?
Pics were taken 1-3 feet away while in direct sunlight so the chip is a little more obvious. I'm pretty sure I can clean it up a little as well as I just blobbed touch up paint on it the other day but compared to what it was (big chip showing the aluminum underneath), it's leaps and bounds better.

I still don't have any wheel chips but when you do, you think the whole world can see them. Yours looks pretty good actually, no one would know unless you told them.
I mean... to each their own but I don't think a very noticeable rock chip in a $2000 wheel on a brand new car is a nothing burger. Yes, the touch up paint helps a lot, that still doesn't make it hurt less.

Thanks, a little reassurance at least...as mentioned, prior to the touch up paint it was very noticeable, the world could definitely see it!
Check out clutch from shine supply for maintenance of these wheels . Pick up a qt of their decked out tire shine also and mix is 1:1. The tire shine will last you a very long time .
I just did my curb rash repair today.. Unfortunately I didnt video the before the repair was done.. This is the paint I used.. I think I got it at Home Depot or some local hardware store
Here's a pic of the wheel. im probably2-3 feet away from the wheel in this pic...Can you tell where the curb rash was? lol
I actually just had a mobile wheel repair guy come to do my rock chip. I called a few dealerships and got his name. The touch up paint helped but the divot in the sun was just painfully obvious and such an eye sore, it really needed to be filled and sanded to blend.
He did an amazing job and for $125 it was well worth it. It's almost impossible to tell it was repaired unless you have a superb eye with a flash light you can kind of see the transition from the painted area. I forgot to ask what paints he used.
If you're in the So Cal (Corona, Murrieta, Temecula) area it's Trundle wheel repair.
