Default IWatch Shortcut for Remote Locking/Unlocking Lexus

Hello Everyone,
I’ve created a couple shortcuts on my iPhone that enable the lock and unlock command from the Lexus App. They work well with no issues on the iPhone.
However, when I setup these shortcuts to run on my iWatch I’m having issues with having to go through a couple steps on my iWatch to actually get these shortcuts to execute. Example, when I tap on ‘lock Lexus’ I get a message on my watch that wants me to allow ‘run remote unlock’. After I tap ‘run’ I get another message that says ‘allow remote unlock’ to access Lexus. Not much of a shortcut……
Are there any iWatch/Apple pro’s out there that can offer any help?

Thanks in advance!

I’ve had the same issue which kinda sucks. The watch has the shortcuts app as well but it essentially does the same thing. Or it’ll want you to log into the app on your phone to authorize the watch to access the permissions…

Between the clunkiness from the app and the abysmal range of the keyfob, I rarely start the car beforehand and never use the keyfob to open before I get to just touch the handle.

Is there an ios shortcut that would lock the Lexus say 15 seconds after it disconnects from bluetooth? That would be a virtual walkaway lock. Are there any ios shortcuts that customize the shortcuts in the Lexus app like that? Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have the Lexus app setup and the shortcut to lock your doors has been created.

Open Shortcuts app
Select the Automation tab at the bottom
Select the + icon in the upper right
  • Depending on if you’ll be using Bluetooth or CarPlay as the trigger, type in the preferred method in the search box
Select either CarPlay or Bluetooth
Make sure “Disconnect” is the only option enabled and select Run Immediately. If you’re using Bluetooth, make sure you select the device.
Hit Next
Select the Lock My Lexus as the shortcut to run

Shortcuts should now run the Lock My Lexus shortcut created by the Lexus app when CarPlay or Bluetooth disconnects. I haven’t tested this, but you could have a timing issue where if you’re slow to exit the vehicle, it could lock on you while you’re in your car or run while the door is open. Might have to tweak the automation a little, but it’s a start. I’ve been using two automations that take place at 10pm and 12am to lock my vehicle at night with minimal issues (Lexus app logging me out being the largest problem)

This is GREAT info, so thank you! I can't wait to try this out. I'm a little embaressed to admit that I'm resarching this shortcut and my NXh 350 Luxury is still on-order. But I've been geeking out watching all the tech setup/tutorial videos on Youtube. I wish there were an easy way to share ios Shortcuts with other people or on a forum like this. As for the possible timing issue, I wonder if there's maybe a time variable that can be added in the shortcut-- something like Wait 15 seconds, then Select the Lock My Lexus shortcut to run?
