Default IS 500 Port Processing times

I put in a deposit a few weeks ago and according to the delivery timeline tracker shared by the dealer, the car arrived at the Jacksonville port on December 12 where it's been stuck in Port Processing status for over 2 weeks!

The sales rep has been checking daily but doesn't have any other updates so is this port processing time normal and is there any other way to get more information on the status?

There has been a few threads on these but to be honest, given the holiday period and such, a few weeks is not out of the norm.

That's odd. Typically Jacksonville processes them fairly quick. May I ask, is it a molten pearl car? I've been in touch with a couple other users who are waiting for Molten Pearl cars and they are being told that the cars are waiting for a part. The only part I can imagine being on hold is the orange stitching carpet mats or the orange stitching key gloves as those are the only two things that are different from a regular IS500 and they are both port installed. But it also seems odd for Toyota to limit its Q3 sales over some carpet mats or key gloves.

My molten pearl has been sitting in LA for a month. The dealer told me they are waiting on the key gloves to come in before they will release the car.

Lmao, Toyota is selling cars missing an entire key. But god forbid they sell the car without the key GLOVES. What would people ever do. They do a lot of stupid things but this takes the cake.

Right…you can’t make this stuff up. They told me Lexus HOPES to have the key gloves by 1/3/23.

Key's gotta wear the glove. They're worried if they don't they'll end up having a baby. Baby IS500.

My MP IS500 has arrived at port of Portland on December 2nd. It was supposed to be processed on December 10th. That was pushed to December 14th. I reached out to my dealer on the 15th and they told me the tracking has been removed and they are not getting further updates.
My last communication with my dealer was yester and they have not been given any updates. The manager I spoke to said "If I had to guess we won’t see an update till the 2nd week of January".
I guess, fingers crossed that it comes by end of January.
I wonder if there is a way to track the car's location via Lexus app. Anyone?

I 100% know I’d go batcrap crazy over this. The conversation would be something like: “I release you from the ceremonial presentation of my keys in the carefully-crafted box with the accompanying high-end keychain and pen. I do not need that portion of the customer experience, NOW GIVE ME MY GOTDERN CAR!!” 😜😎

Yes, it's a Molten Pearl and we finally picked it up on Saturday.

One key is still on back order but we did get the orange stitched key gloves and carpet mats!

^^ I agree - We need to see "real owner" pictures of the Molten Pearl. The only pics I have seen was the ones from the port where it was still covered in shipping wrap.
