After 6300 miles, finally dumped the blasted Bridgestones! One of our car group members will pick them up on Sunday. I didn’t trust the technicians to thoroughly wrap the tires in the beach towels provided, so my awesome service rep brought me back there to take care of it.
I have 70 miles on the tires and these Pilot Sport 4S’ are soooooo amazing! There’s no slip off the line whatsoever. The OEMs do not hold a candle next to them.

I tried to be responsible and wait for the tires to wear down. At the rate I was going, it wouldn’t have been a long time.
…but the wheel spin off the line was too dang much. Plus the performance would degrade the hotter the tires became.
I was having a little fun the other day, and even in my 350 I got some wheelspin a couple of times off the line. If anything, these Bridgestones seem weirdly good in rain but sort of "meh" in the dry. Lateral grip is good, but longitudinal is just okay. Not a good match for a 472-horsepower, RWD car. I get it.

You are a very bad influence making the rest of us want to buy new tires too I'm paitently waiting for Tom's exhaust before buying and now I have to hear you rant about awesome Michelin tires... my wallet is going to cry.
I wouldn't mind lending my test-driving skills to this cause. Happy to "assist".
LOL!! Right on.

Trust me, I’ve heard the family’s ‘opinions’. My 90 year old father-in-law was not supportive. “Those tires are brand new!” 😂🤷🏽♂️
Dude…get them. From a dig or a roll, the tires hookup effortlessly. Hitting the mountains on Monday with the Southern Lexus car group. Will report back! 😜

I'm having a hard time not replacing with Michelins too. I lose traction from rolling starts with the Potenzas fully up to temp and clean pavement. And I feel like the ride and road noise is crap compared to how I know something in this class on good tires feels.

On the rare occasion they hook up this car can move pretty good! I punched it from 40 mph today and the back squatted, nose lifted, and it took off! Usually the TC light just flashes and an angel loses its wings.
Tony is helping them gain their wings back with his copious amounts of traction.

Do it!
Do it!
Do it! 😜
Plus they’re in stock now, I didn’t know here was a tire shortage. When will COVID’s effects end?!
One of the service reps asked where I bought the tires, because they couldn’t get the Michelins for months. 😳
By the way, Tire Rack.

Game. Changer.
Transmission and Tires are the only negatives. The transmission can be managed, just keep it above 4k RPMs when maneuvering. I’ve tried, but there’s no compensating for or managing the Bridgestones. When you take off from a dig on the Michelins, you’ll say: “That’s what I’m talking about!” Same from 80mph to 100mph, the car should reach it much faster than it does on the OEMs, and it will on the Michelins.
If this wasn’t a true performance car, then I’d chock it up to personal preference. However, plenty here drive like I do and I want everyone to fully enjoy their cars. 👍🏽
