Swift Springs Problems
I had a shop install swift springs on the stock struts back in May. Within a week my driver front strut blew out. Full clunking and bottoming out. After I had Lexus replace the strut, it now seems my passenger front strut has also blown after 1,500 miles.
I've run similar setups in the past for 30k miles and at least expected to get a few miles before having problems. Curious how other users experiences have been because I’m so fed up I’m about ready to go back to stock. I haven’t been impressed with the back being lower than the front nor the ride quality in general.
I’m trying to determine if I had a bad install, defective OEM struts, or anything else. Obviously need to replace it and am so jaded by the experience I can’t justify upgrading to coilovers at this point.

Install wise springs are very straightforward. When using lowering springs on oem struts and shocks, you always have the risk of premature failure of them. How soon it happened on yours does seem kind of weird, but it can happen.
im on eibach springs, but will be switching to coilovers

that's not normal. unless somehow they damaged the shock during install (which I don't see how) the springs themselves would not cause the shock to blow out. I've been lowered for over 10k miles with no issues.
I don’t have a IS500(just a IS350 FSport) and have been on RSR downs for over 10 years and my shocks are fine.
Coilovers are the way to go. Lowering springs can lead to premature wear on stock shocks, if you're going that route. It's common knowledge.
