I traded my M2 CS for the 500 so a very similar move to what you're proposing. The M2 is definitely quicker but I was tired of having cars with a rough ride and high noise levels in the cabin. The M2 could hit almost 130mph in 3rd so the manual wasn't as fun as expected since you're done after 2 shifts on a launch or 1 shift on a highway pull. They are 2 very different cars so it just comes down to what you want day to day. I wanted a modern E39 M5 and only the IS500 or CT5 Blackwing come close to fitting that niche (Non-turbo V8, not setup as a track weapon) and the Blackwing is way too expensive so the IS won.

I forgot to mention my M2C is a DCT not a manual. Interesting you complain about noise levels in the M2 (especially the CS). My M2 has been tight as a drum with no rattles, squeaks or anything. I also don't feel like it is loud inside on the freeway. The Lexus is DEFINTELY quieter all around. My only issue is I just LOVE that instant punch of torque the M2 gives me. The IS500, while quick, sure takes its time getting there.

Just skip the first 4,000 RPM or so. All the power is up top! (And, for whatever it's worth, Lexus has a very conservative throttle map on this car. My IS 350 had a more sensitive throttle pedal despite having over 150 horsepower less.)
I think the asking price is pretty high for a 25,000-mile car. For mine, with less mileage, CarFax and KBB have my private party value at around $54k - though, obviously the L/Certified part does make a difference in the price. For me, the warranty would be nice... However, I just don't see this going for more than $60k. If it was a 10,000-mile car, maybe.
Also, what the heck is this?? Is the dealership really that busy that they couldn't even put the cupholders away? I would double-check that they are not damaged.
That price is too high imo. A little over a year ago I paid 60k OTD for a 22 with 12k miles from a dealer. Although this was in VA and these cars seem to be cheaper on the east coast.
Earlier this year CPO 2023 with less than 10k miles were going for around $59,000. At one point there were a few CPO 2024 with less than 5k miles hit $60,500. Tariffs were announced and the amount of available IS500 plummeted and the price went back up. Suddenly 2024 CPO with less than 5k miles were costing the same price for a new 2025 IS500. As inventory slowly started to climb up the of the end of the IS500 was announced and dealers aren't discounting them as much. Just something I noticed but kind of a shame prices went up on the used market.
Yep. After doing my research, it looks like it would be much smarter to buy a new one (assuming the dealership I buy it from won't mark it up). There are some new ones in transit to local dealerships around me and I'll just wait until one lands.
I can't believe they are charging almost 2025 pricing on a 2023. I also want the power folding side mirrors.

Thanks everyone!
Yeah good on you, wait for a new one if you can. I paid $62K for mine in 2022. (Additional $2K to register it in Georgia.) Good luck!
Nothing is wrong with the spec. Silver is just a pretty common color and you can likely find a that spec at a better price. Hell, you can find 2 on Carmax for mid 50's and have it delivered for much less than this one.
