Purple is fine, but not a vivid blue? I'm lost.

Brown would be a bit of a shame. I don't think it works well with all the black accents on the IS 500.

 

Deep purple would have been cool. Three blues, no purples. You’re right about brown tho. It doesn’t matter, lots of color possibilities out there.

Would a matte paint finish be so bad on a special edition?

 

It's been done before... The 10th Anniversary GS F and RC F had matte Nebula Gray paint. I dig it.

I know you love your USB, but would you have bought a Grecian Water or Blue Vector if USB wasn't available?

 

I would have definitely scoured the country for a GW in 2022, but would’ve been super annoyed over the BV announcement. The BV is richer (IMO) in the sunlight than the GW. If I couldn’t find a GW, the Infrared was the last choice.

 

I'm now part of the club, too. Just picked her up tonight. All of the sales guys were taking pictures and videos of it. The "grizzled veteran" sales guy even said that he had never seen a Lexus in this shade of blue before. It's a show stopper!

I'm right there with you about that first sentence. Would love to have more variety. A deep green or purple color would be muy bueno. Lexus already has Nori and there are established, awesome purples out there in the worlds of Nissan and VW/Audi/Porsche.
