Default ABS/Brake/PCS warning light at 400 miles!

I have a new 2020 IS300 that shortly before 400 miles on the odometer the abs/brake/pcs/LDA malfunction warning lights are all coming on and the vehicle is not safe to drive. Dropped it off to get it repaired and after picking it up no lights and it was a simple loose pin in the master cylinder is what I was told. Less than 24 hours later and 60 miles more on the odometer issue happens again and vehicle gets towed back to the dealer. Has anyone else experienced an issue with the abs system this early on and if so what was the diagnosis?

Welcome to the forum!

I hate to say it, but I think your are the first with this issue.
It certainly sounds like an electrical issue since I assume the vehicle drives fine otherwise...as you driving before and after the lights came on.
I think it's a little bit of a stretch to say the vehicle is not safe to drive.
The reality is there is likely one fault code that is causing all four lights to come on.
Once the lights are on, those systems essentially deactivate...but outside of that you can drive the car around perfectly fine with the mechanical brakes.
ABS/PCS/LDA are all passive systems that don't do anything unless specific conditions are met for them to activate.

Did they indicate on the invoice what the code was that triggered the lights?

Thank you!

The vehicles brakes become very different and I have to press down all the way to get some braking power. Otherwise when the light isn’t on the vehicle drives fine. When I called into the service department the first time they told me not to drive the vehicle given what is occurring as it’s not safe to drive. They didn’t indicate what code, from what the advisor told me they had to call the TAS to get help figuring out how to diagnose the issue. I agree it is likely an electrical issue, just puzzled it’s occurring at such low mileage.

If the brake application actually changed then likely the issue is around the Master Cylinder or the ABS Brake Actuator.
Those are the two main components that can globally effect the physical braking.

Makes sense, in that case then they might need to replace the master cylinder or ABS brake actuator if it’s faulty and causing the abs light to come on. I’ll see what the dealer says on Monday.

Update : Dealer called back today and is replacing the ABS brake actuator so for those that have the same issue in the future. Crazy that it failed so early on.

I would say wait until they replace it to see if this was the issue. They also said the issue was a pin at the Master Cylinder...and look how that turned out.
I'm not second guessing them, just suggesting to wait for the repair to confirm it's for sure fixed.

Fair enough, because of now multiple times of this failure I’ve also opened a case with Lexus to replace the vehicle as you may be right even replacing the brake actuator may not resolve the issue.
