That clock looks absolutely hideous. It takes like 1 second longer to read the time on analog.
seriously.. LOL I find it funny that people can't read analog clock. Probably the same people that can't drive manual. I think the analog clock is classy and gives it charm.
I personally don't like the look of the clock you installed, but looks are subjective. If you like it that is all that matters.
I personally like the look of the analog clock in the dash and can read it at a quick glace, but my cluster (2014 non F sport) also shows the digital time on the info page (same place it shows MPG and outside temp), my phone is also mounted in the car, and I wear an apple watch, the time is everywhere for me lol.
Can you take a picture of where it is on your non F-Sport?
So I've never checked because I'm ok with he analog clock. But I'm all curious now lol.
My 2014 non F-Sport IS350 does not show the time in digital format anywhere. It's only the temp on my dash/speedo
I cycled through all the pages in Nav and on the little speedo screen and it's nowhere to be found.
The car is tracing the time because in general settings I found "Time System" setting and sure enough there is the time....but it shows nowhere else.
Now I bet if I used the nav system and entered a route it may show me est time of arrival. (I may be confusing they with my other car I'll check later).
Otherwise , my car seemingly has no use to track the time because it shows up nowhere.
Holy crap, that is terrible. How did come to the conclusion that you should find the cheapest possible clock to add, and then slap it for all to see. You could have easily found a smaller one that you added out of the way if you have difficulty with an analog.
Cool man thanks for your input. So if your 2014 shows a digital clock in the cluster, the claim that digital clocks were only implemented in the 2017 refresh, is faulty. Where your digital clock display is located would be ideal. All I see is outside temp.

Fellas, I made a mistake and I apologize. I have two IS cars. My older 2014 IS250 Non F sport (now my wife drives) and a 2018 F Sport. I could swore they both showed the digital time, but I was wrong, just got home from work and looked, my 14' does not have it, I thought it did. My 18' does. Sorry for the confusion!

Whew.
Ok much less interesting now, I was thinking if that was different then maybe I'm missing some else important??? Lol
Yeah it's odd how some people with the same years and models have it and some don't. I'm not sure if it's a software version difference, or maybe perhaps only on the navigation models? Does your car have factory nav? Mine does, so that is just an idea of a possible difference, that may or may not be affecting this.
Yes I do have fac nav. Hmmm 🤔 to think of it, I do not have the ML audio package... Perhaps that may have to do with it? Just throwing that out there.

I would reply that most people can't read but that would be classless. Please go back and read the first post where I write how I appreciate the luxury of the analog clock and have no problem reading them. Oh and FYI, I enjoy bangin gears in a manual transmission thanks.

You are correct. If you set a destination it will show in digital format an eta.

Holy cow! 🐮 I know rite? Lol. yea so 1. please share a link of a smaller digital clock that fits these needs and 2. I do not exhibit any difficulty with analog clocks.
If you will.... I have a hand screw driver (analog) and I have a cordless drill (digital). Although I am versed in both hand screw driver and cordless drill... Does he who uses a cordless drill (digital) to get the job done that much quicker, proves that one has "difficulty" with a hand screw driver (analog)?

I sort of (SORT OF) feel bad for the hate you are getting on this post as you seem to be a new member from your join date and post count so I'll add a few things here:
1. People on the forums are pretty devoted to their vehicles, and if you do a tasteless mod like this which is borderline insulting to everyone here, you will get the hate, no questions. I for one do not own an IS anymore but still come to this forum every so often to keep up and interact with the people I know here. When I saw your picture of the LCD clock, I just had to jump in and say it looks horrible since I cannot imagine anyone ruining the interior look the way you have with that clock... once again that is subjective so if you like it and it helps you, by all means leave it.
2. As for other options to replace that 1962 looking LCD clock with something more modern, I just did a quick search for you check below. There are plenty of options btw....
You can vent clip the second link onto your side so passengers don't see it. Not that I would use any of this ever since I loved the analog clock, but hope this may help make it less obvious on your dash.

@athanato just posted a pic of his 2018 cluster and it doesn't have it. Make no sense to say 2017 and up has the digital cluster. He mentioned he will look into it. Maybe it will shed on light on who has digital clocks. Better yet, maybe reveal an update so my 2015 can get one too.
I am waiting to hear back from Lexus, I used their contact submission page asking them if I need a software update... let's see if they actually reply.

I have the 18MY F sport 2, for Canada that means you get Nav and almost everything else except for the rear shade, turning headlights (these two are included in the Luxury package which is the package below FS2 which boggles the mind as to why they remove them from FS2 since it is a higher trim), and of course nothing that is added in the black line.

I'm not a fan of analog clocks in cars, makes them seem its for an older clientele.
I like everything listed in the gauge cluster so there is less distraction while driving.
With that said does the analog clock get auto adjusted by the GPS or is it manually set only?, if its manual I'm never touching it and to be honest I completely ignore it.
