Most Common nightmare : Check ABS & VSC
Hello everyone
this is my first thread in here and im also a new member! And im really impressed about this forum
well i got my IS250-F 2014 with 80K mileage about a month ago imported from US ( i live in united arab emirates )
Car condition is excellent except that it had a little accident in the Front-left side that damaged body parts only but nothing mechanical
everything repaired but ABS check keeps coming on again and again , scanner showed that speed sensor failed so i changed it but still coming up
and the ABS check only comes up in one situation everytime i clear it ,
only when im on reverse parking the car at very low speed and steering is full left or right , ONLY in this situation the light shows up everytime
The machanic is saying that it might be the hub got damaged in the accident but its little bit costy here
so if anyone experienced this before please advise me
Thanks in advance!

What code are you getting for the ABS? Without the code I don't think we'll be much help.
Is the car RWD or AWD? Based on what you've said so far I believe it's AWD.

I guessed your vehicle was AWD because you said you replaced the speed sensor and the mechanic is saying you need the hub assembly now.
On AWD vehicles the speed sensor and axle hub assembly are two seperate parts.
On RWD vehicles the speed sensor and axle hub assembly are one part altogether...you can't get them seperately. So if you replaced the speed sensor, then you also replaced the axle hub assembly.
Do you know what part was replaced exactly?
In any case, you still need the axle hub assembly as the mechanic is suggesting.
Here is the info from the repair manual:
C1410 - Front Speed Sensor LH Performance
Condition: A reverse signal continues for 5 seconds or more when the vehicle speed is 3 km/h (1.9 mph) or more.
Trouble Area:

Well my biggest mistake is that i trusted this mechanic
he brought the speed sensor with wiring only from a used spare parts shop and you are right the hub comes along with the sensor if its new
he did change the Hub before but i doubt that this hub belongs to IS250 because even the brake caliper is different ( i checked the right side )
so do you think that fixing a different hub will cause this ABS issue ?

Did he have to join the wire? Or was it just a plugin?
If he had to join the wire, then you may want to check the wire first. You mentioned it only happened when you turn the wheel all the way to one side, so maybe the wire is being stressed.
If the wiring is ok, then you likely just need the complete hub assembly with the hub and sensor already all together.
He may have gotten from a IS350, which would have the bigger caliper.
I'm not sure if it makes a difference left or right, but with used parts you never know if there is any hidden damage.
Once the wiring is good the only thing left is the axle hub assembly.

First he joined the wire of the old joint but it didnt work so he brought a used one which is currently there ,, ive checked the wiring looks fine ( Externally )
but maybe there are some hidden damages as you said so i will get a new hub with sensor because im really fed up going to the garage everyday
i hope this will solve the issue and i will also update here for information
thanks again!
