Default Sold my IS350! Went Green!

The IS350 was the best car I ever owned. Quiet, smooth, fast and handled really well. I was spending a decent coin on gas and thought an electric vehicle would be a good way to save some cash and save the environment too. Soooo... i got myself a Model 3!

I really like the touchscreen and features it brings. Very high tech. Seems to handle very well...definitely heavier than the IS350 but planted. Its a bit faster and a couple stoplight takeoffs put a smile on my face. Remember...i'm saving the environment. haha.

Anyway, i seemed to have a pretty good build with only small panel gap issues. Nothing major and the color...just LOVE the red. I'll stick around a bit and answer any Model 3 questions you may have.

I can go about 200 miles driving pretty aggressively at which point i would need a break. Driving conservatively i should get about 250 miles. 45 minute stops after that type of mileage isn't bad. Starbucks break is always welcome. The car is a video game. Any talentless newb could get 0-60 in 3.2 seconds just by mashing the throttle and you hook up perfectly and go. The computers literally take care of everything. The best part of the car is that quick take offs and fast acceleration is so natural that i doubt it puts any strain on the drivetrain and suspension components. Very different than an ICE where revving it out feels like you are abusing the drivetrain. Its like piloting a spaceship...something completely different.

EZZ - Congrats!! That is a fine looking Model 3....My friend has one exactly like yours and he took me out for a spin a while ago and its a NICEEEEE vehicle! Ironically, I too just got rid of my IS350, and like, you, likely my best vehicle so far!! Now I wasn't prepared to go electric because where I live, there isn't as much infrastructure and besides, I am more of the type to think...The electric cars will be the only thing available in a while so might as well enjoy the last few good year of the combustion engine while I can

I just got a 2019 RC350 F sport (White with red interior) and love it so far but still too early to say if I like it better than my IS....I am sure getting a lot of looks though

Congrats! I really like the RC looks and was considering a used RCF but the reason I went electric was to save gas money. The only reason I didn't stick with ICE is that my employer has EV charging stations for free across the parking structure. There is a good chance I won't have to pay for any of my commute anymore. I still love Lexus products so you won't see me be a Tesla fanboy and that IS350 may be my last ICE which I will fondly remember

Trust me, if my employer would pay to recharge my car, I'd have an EV too!! sadly, they don't have a gasoline dispenser at work either, man what does a man have to do to get a decent employer these days?!?! (LOL)

I urge everyone to take a test drive of the Performance model. Nothing remotely comes close at that price range in terms of the experience. Something straight out of a movie.

Holy Cow! I hadn’t realized you bought Performance model until I saw red caliper brakes. I test drove Performance just yesterday it’s crazy fast and it keeps going and going. Congrats!

It's like a flying saucer. See a gap in highway, hit the accelerator , triple digits in a couple seconds. No delay, just response. So weird

Congrats on the Tesla. I am in the same boat right now looking into ordering a model 3 performance. Coming from the best performance car I have owned up to this date which is a 2014 IS350 Fsport. Cross shopping a C63s, Tesla or looking into a used 2015 E63s. really leaning on the Tesla since my test drive a week ago. Car pulls like crazy. How are you adapting to not seeing a gauge cluster and the whole getting in the vehicle?
