HELP! Lexus IS300 Fsport 2018 awd
 

I recently purchased a second hand IS300 2018 year Fsport and after a few days the cars started to have this annoying beep sound which is the master warning light continues as I drive
this started happening after someday randomly in the Dial or speedometer of the car there is an animated car as well which shows if u have the door open it shows a red light on the door if u have the trunk open it shoes the trunk as red goes for all things which may be open able apparently its been showing red sign on my windshield I double checked my windshield no cracks or marks I checked it out with a garage who conncted an OBD2 code reader to find an error code so they could fix the problem but no result as of yet and im confused beyond belief what the problem is at this point cars been in the garage for 2 days now

As seen in this example Photo which ive gotten through the help of google since my car is still in the garage if you notice ive marked the part red for me with pain on the windshield the front glass that part is red for me for some reason

Have you checked your trunk and hood are closed? That looks to me like the trunk is open. I don't see the master warning light.


Have you also checked your tire pressure? I am seeing a tire pressure warning over there on the right:

Try to take a photo when the issue is occurring; seeing the dash when the error is actually happening will make it easier to understand.

as i mentioned in the thread this is not mine i just took this picture off google and my trunk and bonnet and doors were closed - the IMAGE WAS JUST AN EXAMPLE for most to understand whats going on since i cant take a picture since my cars in the workshop :( but everythng else indicates closed but the front mirror indicates its open which doesnt make sense :S how can the windshield be open when its not cracked or nothing

Again my trunk bonnet doors evrything is closed the pic is just an example but in the picture u see the tiny car in the tiny car ive highlighted with the blue marker that part the windshield thats the part that indicates RED like the windshields open :S which is why master warning light is comming

If the master warning light is on, there should be a message in the multi-information display. Have you checked for that message?

When I looked in the owner's manual, I didn't see any indication that the windshield itself could be illuminated. If I had to guess, could it be that the hood was open?

thats the thing i went made the ring slide to the right and the panel where u can scroll for information the one with the ! mark checked that place as well didnt find no information on it as to why the master warning light comes on and it only comes on while driving if u just start the car it doesnt beep or show but when u accelerate the car thats when it starts making the noise and the continues blink of the master light

no sadly i double checked and made sure the hood was closed and it was which is why im in such distress even the garage is having a tough time figuring it out

my windshield does have a few plastics latched on to it idk if its the sensors or what but it doesnt even show in the OBD code so confusing

This may sound like a silly question, but how are you closing your hood? You should raise it about 6 inches into the air, and let it drop, allowing gravity to latch it into place. I suppose it could be possible that it isnt closing correctly if you're pushing it shut, but i feel like the chances are very slim. If you are sure that the hood is 100% shut, then i would assume that it is a bad sensor, and you'll have to take it to the dealer to get replaced under warranty.

YESS i guess this is it ! wel i actually used force because it gave me the problem 2wice i thought theres something loose in the hood better use a little bit of force to close it and it closed properly ! but apprently maybe the sensor

Update i just messaged my guy at the garage he says the lock itself is fine the sensor itself is also fine its probably the wiring or the fuses in the box itself and it isint under warrenty since the guy i bought it from he imported it from the US here in Dubai so its not GCC specifications its US specifications which arent covered under the lexus dealers altho garages here are really good the garage is charging me 150 USD overall for everything checking the sensor checking the bonnet lock the wiring and basically fixing any problems noticed parts would be additional tho if necessary

Sounds like a fair enough price to me I guess , to remove the headache. Glad you figured it out I read the whole thread and nothing there looks like we're talking about anything other than open trunk or hood more likely. Wouldn't pay any more attention to windshield windows or doors.

YESS thats basically it we are 100 percent good will be receiving my car by tomorrow
