Does anyone have a ballpark cost from the stealership doing this above ?
Lexus dealership in Ottawa charged me $320 for trans fluid/front diff/rear diff...
engine air filter is a $25 part you can do yourself in 5 minutes.

You should have your diff fluid checked/changed pronto! But the trans fluid, well, that's up to you apparently.

I'm at 70,000 miles and my dealer said they don't have a "flush" machine, so the best they could do is just drain and refill.

Should I find a place that can do a complete flush or would a drain and refill be sufficient?

Does a complete flush cause damage? Under what situation would it cause damage if any?

This is what I've heard in the past, but it's been a long time. My issue was more a Honda/Acura bad trans, which has always been the case with them.

Does anybody know if the AWD IS's transfer case oil can be changed? I know that the differentials and transmission fluid are serviceable, but what about the transfer case? I heard that on some BMWs, the transfer case for the xDrive system does not have a drain plug, which seems insane to me. You'd have to take apart the underside of the car, pull out the transfer case and literally tip it over in order to drain the fluid.

My Lexus tech friend didn't mention servicing it at all, just the front and rear (mine is AWD as well).

Thanks for the info, would you be able to ask him next time you see him? (ie. is there any drain/fill plug on the transfer case)

I had a 2006 IS350 I sold last year. I am the original owner. Never changed the transmission fluid and sold it with 238,000 miles. Shifted perfect!
