Should i do a simple muffler delete, get an catback or a full exhaust system. Does doing any of those throw a check engine light or affect anything? Looking for something budget friendly and sounds good.

I went axleback, and regret not going catback from the beginning. At least by going catback, you have the option of keeping or getting rid of the midpipe, same goes for the axleback.

Most budget friendly option though would prolly be a muffler delete...

I am generally against 'Muffler Delete'. (the nicest way I can put it).

Two of the best exhausts are Tanabe and Invidia. You can get them at wholesale prices just about anywhere. I would not go any cheaper than that.

Just go catback. Almost no one ever stays with the axle only.

By chance anyone the diameter size of the stock exhaust? Its looks like a 2 or 1.75 inch. Wanna go up to a 2.5 if possible

I had ordered a catback and only installed the axleback portion the first day just to see what it sounded like. Honestly, it was far too quiet for my taste. After installing the midpipe the next day, the tone and volume was a night and day improvement. Not entirely sure of the power gain, but the butt dyno definitely noticed a bit more mid range pull.

Main determinant could be price, but removing secondary cats is cheap and will increase volume.

Most of the exhaust is ~2" diameter, but the rear axle-back is only maybe 1.75. 2.36 (60mm) is likely the "ideal" but nothing wrong with 2.5, especially if planning to open things up more with other induction mods.

Buying aftermarket exhaust are usually already designed for the best performance and sound.

Does anyone know or can they find the stock sound level in dB for 2017+ stock exhaust?
I googled yesterday on my phone and found a press release with specs and some other pages with specs but could never find that. Just curious really. I haven't looked in the manual although I'm not sure it would be there either.
