Default Navigation Package Option for 200t

Did you get Navigation Package with your IS? If you didn't get it, do you wish you should gotten it? I am getting an IS200t and couldn't decide to get the car with Nav package or without Nav Package. Now a day, we always used our phone for Google map or Waze.
Will I miss anything without the Nav Package beside the Navigation system?
Thank you.

I got it because of the bigger screen. Every time someone hops in my car they’re always saying”it’s so big”
but it does come in handy if you know your freeways and streets in case the directions on your phones GPS are taking you towards traffic the nav lets you know theirs heavy traffic on that route. I know the phone gps does too but i enjoy not having to reach for my phone when driving

If only Lexus offers CarPlay I would take this option over any nonsense built in navigation system. It feels so outdated and slow after a few years of ownership.

Honestly I don't use the built in Nav.

It is easier to put the information for directions on your phone than this system...

Tbh... I just like to see the movement in real time on my Nav screen when I glimpse at it.

I had navigation in my 2011 IS350 but both my 2014 IS250 and now my 2017 IS200t have the standard radio. I decided to not get the navigation because it felt so slow and clunky compared to the gen 5 system my 2011 had.

Car Play is coming to a lot of new Lexus models but unfortunately the IS will not be one of them.

Thanks All. I will consider "No Nav system" as an option for me to select the pre-owned 200t. I can add/install Beat Sonic Smartphone Mirroring Kit to the car.

The Non-Nav will have Scout GPS Link that runs off your phone and displays on the factory screen.
Turn by Turn if you are just using Bluetooth, Moving Maps if you cable up with a USB. You can enter
destination before you get in the car to use or use voice commands while driving.

As a non-navi owner, Scout GPS link is awful and the turn by turn directions are always confusing. As for moving maps...it's slightly better but still a nuisance to take your phone out of your pocket every time you want to navigate somewhere.

I wish I got the navi option so I could at least have something open while driving for traffic. Non-navi comes with something similar, but it's comparable to looking at a JPG image of your local traffic on a map. I also believe that most cars with the navi package are more likely to have the mark & levinson option.

Scout GPS link is probably the WORST attempt at an in car GPS I have ever seen lol. That’s why I got my 10.25 android screen with Apple CarPlay. Solved all my problems.

I found and obtained a 2016 200t with 24K miles - No Nav.
Thank you everyone for advice.

Please post a thread if you have success with Beat Sonic mirror kit. According to their site, you have to have a NAV IS for it to work. Non NAV IS will not with the kit.

The 10.25 android screen is always an option.
