It definitely wasn’t from the vents when I did it. It was from the buttons/switches.

the air is coming to your hand from the driver side vent!
just do this! Make sure your climite is off! But fresh air mode is on! And set the air position mode is to your face/body!!
While you are driving hold your hand to the central vents! Or drivier side vent! Then while you are driving tilt the moonroof open and see amount of air coming thru the vents are increasing significantly!!
i am a car guy buddy! I own this 2014 is350 from the first day. Not being a jerk but this is the fact!
At first looks like air is coming from the window switches but actually you are resting your arm there and driver side vent blows directly to your hand
it is very interesting feature or whatever is tho !even if the air is on off position, if the air mode is on fresh air mode, vents blow a lot of air if your moonroof is open!
ok one more last thing! If you guys believe the air is coming from the window switches areas to your hand then try this and then reply me!
Open moonroof but , but leave the air mode is on circulation mode! See if any air is coming

if your air mode is on circulation mode, you wont get air from the vents

Yes, the same thing is occurring where the pressure difference is drawing more air from the vents. But if you place your hand over the buttons, you will feel air on your palm which is indicating that air is flowing from the switch gaps.

Place your hand to switches ! Turn ac off!
This time make sure air mode is on inside circulation mode!!! Not fresh air/outside air !!!!
open moonroof and see if any air coming
zero air is coming to your hand buddy!

Give the air to the feet! Leave it there and turn ac off

Nope, if you have circulation off to where you want no air coming in and the sunroof is lifted up, it comes from the buttons.
