I've been taking some videos and just like hearing it, I've done it a few times, how bad is it for the engine? Heard our engines are pretty bulletproof regardless (IS 250)

If you must, be sure you're all warmed up.
Those guys in the videos who film a cold start straight into redline revs...no no.

If you care enough to ask if it's bad for the engine, you already have a basic idea.

Revving in neutral doesn't really "hurt", strictly speaking, but you are asking the engine to work without really accomplishing anything, thus causing wear to its internals with no tangible pay off whatsoever. So, the least you can do it warm the car up first. Drive around the block a few times and wait for the coolant temp to come up, at a minimum.
