Default 9500ci install rearview mirror display too dark

I tried mounting the 9500ci display into the rear view mirror on my 2017 Lexus is 350 f sport and there is a small square on the upper right side that it would fit but on max brightness it barely shows through, I turned the auto brightness off the mirror and still doesnt help..any idea?

Not really sure of your options, but its there a film on the screen that you can remove?

Im not sure but I think that little square opening is the dimmer sensor. The mirror itself has a plastic cover on the back of it and thats the only opening thats on the back of the mirror itself.

Can you post some pictures of what you're working with and what you're talking about?
