Learned something new about my car..
So I've had my car abut 7 months now, and I loved how I could just walk up to the car and it would unlock when I put my hand on the door handle (came from an '04 Accord, so not used to much tech). But, I always wished there was a way to lock it without using my fob. Then today I found out that if you put a couple fingers on the front of the door handle it locks! I'm sure most of you knew this already, but I had no idea.

If you bought your car new, that's something that they should have gone over during delivery.
if not, and your car never came with the owners manual, I recommend either downloading it from the Lexus website, or giving your local dealer a call to see if they're willing to go through all the features of your car with you.
there's tons of really cool things you can do with it, like pushing the voice commands button and just saying "I'm cold" to turn up the heat a little. If you bought it used, you may be able to have the dealer change some personalization settings for you, like opening all the windows with the unlock button on your key if it's not already enabled

Yeah, I’m surprised you didn’t see the little indent on your handle that you touch to lock your car without the fob it’s very noticeable if you look. That’s what activates it.

I did buy it used and it came without the manual. Sounds like I really need to download one and read through it. Lots of things I might not know..

Yes. When I got mine, touching the inside of the driver's door handle only unlocked the driver's door. I changed it to unlock all the doors so that it is a bit easier when I have people with me.

Same and that one is programmable by you unlike some of the other features. I read my entire user manual before I even got the car (I downloaded it online) and when I got to the dealership I told them to change a bunch of the settings on mine and they were even surprised at some of the things that could be programmed lol.
