I own the 4x4 unit and love it, I've had it for about 8+ months now, I use Carplay almost exclusively and looking to upgrade to the wireless Carplay dongle soon. I also watch TV on the android side when stuck in traffic or waiting for someone. However the Lexus side is very slow and outdated, I was wondering what it would take to upgrade the oem stereo (lower deck) to the 2017+ which seems to be much faster.
Well I received my unit today! I think I have everything plugged into the right place - it appears that there is only one place to plug these things in...
A few questions - how do you access the RPM / MPH gauges? I can't seem to find it...

Also I have the android auto dongle plugged in and it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if they sent me the wrong one?
And there is a cable that has an SOS button on it - this seems to reboot the system... where did you guys mount this? It's like a small pressure switch...
Anyone have the Android auto APK to install on this thing? I think that is what I am missing... and anyone have any input on my questions above? Thanks guys!
Found the gauge app - one thing that I noticed is the screen resolution is 480p!
I'm waiting for the merchant to send me an APK to setup android auto... right now the dongle does nothing and throws errors about plugging it into the phone. I'm not sure if this dongle is even compatible with android?? It's giving me error messages about plugging it into a mac which I don't have....
Anyone know how to change the screen resolution? This is a pretty big deal. it's 1280x480...... it should be 1920x720!
Looks like this is how it is... pretty disappointing. Can someone with the 4x4shop unit run a system information app and check what the screen resolution is?
Anytime I got for a trip longer then 1 he my unit seems to be overheating and restarts for about 6 or times continuously.
Anyone else having the same problem? Or have any possible solutions?

Looks like the screen from Aliexpress is very different than the one from 4x4 shop.... I may return this unit and bite the bullet and get the more expensive one. The screen quality appears to be much better on the 4x4shop unit.... The aliexpress / navirider unit does not seem to have the same image quality and screen resolution sadly.

There is no mention on 4x4 website to say that is a 720p screen. I think they will most likely be the same display

Can you take some pictures of what you're seeing resolution wise, maybe we can help you troubleshoot if we see what you are seeing.
