Default lowering

so after reading numerous threads ,still can't decide on rsr superdowns or rsr downs ,car is a 2014 is 350 awd ,planning on 20 mm spacers with the drop and keeping stock 18 inch wheels setup so far im leaning towards super downs,. from what ive read the superdowns will be 1.5 r drop roughly all the way around. will it rub ? any suggestions, or experamces will be greatly appreciated. after I painted my calipers and took some photos realized the car has to much wheel gap , expesically in front

Car will rub on 25 mm spacers on front and 20 mm on rear with stock suspension and rims. I talk about it here. I plan on lowering the car with spacers as well sometime next year but I will need to do more research.

From what I have read, down springs will cause you to rub because the camber change won’t be as great as the super downs and apparently that’s what keeps the rubbing from happening. In other words, if you don’t want to rub get super downs. This is just what I’ve seen around the forums so I’m not saying this is 100 percent true.

Default My 2cents

For what its worth,I had the RSR downs installed 2 years ago. It dropped it around a inch and a half+. I can get one finger in the rear an two in the front, as far as wheel gap. [Im sure theirs a joke there] I still have to be careful around railroad tracks an such, any lower an it would be tough sledding for me. But i live in Colorado and the roads are crap, so your results may vary. My set up: 2014 IS350 AWD, 18'' Niche wheels on pilot super sports [summer] Factory F-sport wheels on pilot alpines [winter] as well as SPC camber arms to get it closer to spec. I run a little camber and get slight rubbing when my trunk is loaded up and hit big dips. The RSR springs work great and added a bit more sportiness to the car, not to mention I've had Zero issues in 70k plus miles. Good luck on whatever you choose

What are the wheel and tire specs of your summer set?

I’ve had RSR Down Springs on for about 1,000 miles and love them I’ve had no issues.

These are supposed to be RSR downs, but like i mentioned it dropped well over 1- 1/2 all the way around. Probably closer to 1-3/4.

Took some measurements from ground up to top of the wheel well. F/L 25-1/4, F/R 25-9/16, R/L 24-3/4, R/R 25. Defiantly not truly squared up, but it was off with the old springs. I had it checked out at the Lexus dealership, was told it was within specs. I've checked several vehicles over the years and they all seem a little off. My wife's BMW is off as well and the suspension is bone stock. Seems brand wide and could only be rectified by adding coilovers, but even then once you load it up in spots it'll sit different.

Seeing how you say it's lower than what is described for the AWD model makes me hesitant on getting RSR downs. I wanted RSR downs for a nicer look but also be able to daily it through winter. Unfortunately, RSR does not offer half downs for the AWD models.
