New Here, I need tons of help with my 3rd Gen IS!
Hey guys I just created an account and after plenty of thought, I have decided I would like to make some nice changes to my car. This is my first Lexus/ Sports sedan and I want to make my vehicle more fun/attractive overall. Firstly, I own a 2015 IS 250 F Sport AWD and I cannot stand how slow my car is, currently I am not in the position to upgrade to a 350 so I would like to know what can I do to add some more power to my car? I am pretty much a beginner when it comes to all this but I'm willing to learn. I also would like add an exhaust that is loud and aggressive, I understand a V6 isn't going to sound like a V8 but what exhaust options do I have and also, are there any quad tip options available along with a quad tip diffuser? Also, does anybody have good suggestions for wider tires and nice black wheels? currently I have stock wheels I plan on keeping as a back up. My car is the Nebula Grey with red interior, so if anybody has any pictures for good examples please feel free to comment a picture so I can get some better ideas! If you have any advice or extra information for me please comment! Thanks in advance guys!

Have you looked at the aftermarket wheel show case for wheels?
But take a look at the build threads to see what people have installed. I recommend Injen for the intake but it's whatever floats your boat.

For speed, an RR Racing tune will be your best bet they can get you close to a 350’s stock power from what I hear.

Agreed, you purchased the wrong car for going fast. I had a 2IS 250 and it was a total dog, comfortable, quiet, reliable, but a dog. I bought it new 11 years ago, so I was sold more on the styling at the time and the Lexus nameplate.

If you value straight-line speed over handling, I think no version of the IS is the right choice, at least stock. The car has never been at its most fun, for me anyway, unless I can find a curvy road. I think it shines in the handling department really. Carry the speed!

Yep that seems to be the case. I'll keep it for a couple of years then upgrade. However I do like the car still, and I may stick with Lexus for my next set of wheels.

Very true however with great handling should at least come with the sensation of speed (I.e. Subaru BRZ, Mazda Miata, etc), but that is not the case with the 250. You feel the weight and the underpowered engine way too much to make any cornering ability all but absent. Perhaps if you are coming from a Corolla the transition wouldn't be too bad...
But I am of the opinion that slow cars can be fun to throw around corners.
