I think the hardest part of this is going to be finding the screen and console at a decent price if Edwin and Co figure it all out haha.

Hahaha yeah, I think I lost my insanity when I started the 2017+ front-end conversion 🤪 I feel this retrofit ain’t as involved. 🙂
I’ll have some pictures and maybe a video of the new plug later tonight SpecOne.

I have a good feeling that it is all going to work out well. And yes it might be a little challenging finding the parts used and a decent price. People need to start wrecking their cars already so we can buy the parts on eBay 😁

Haha cynical to say but I agree 😂 just a light fender bender that totals their cars lol

I personally have no problem with the smaller screen, it's completely adequate for me. The only thing I don't like about mine is the **** poor voice recognition. Even when I speak loudly and deliberately enunciate, it will come up with the craziest addresses that aren't even close to what I said. As far as the center vent trim, I think it looks great...

it's a JAE connector. http://www.jae.com
going to search their web site and digikey for it. bet there's a crimping tool for it too. Looks to be a 2 wire shielded cable.
edit; https://www.jae.com/jccom/en/connect...rch/Automotive
either a mx38 or a mx48 series cable. can't pin point which exactly. also looks like they come pre wired as a harness for soldering.
so if you can some how get all these cable pieces, make a harness and test it out. that will save anyone from buying an entire dash harness. if it only works tho.

-BUT its not MX38 series connector, MX38 connector is the one that was previously used, i.e. all the Navigation LVDS video connector in 2006+ Lexus vehicles as well as the 2017+ non-navi Video connector.
-It is also not MX48, The MX48 is used on Lexus 2014+ IS non-Navigation radio side of the connection as well as on some Toyota stereos.
We are getting close, if someone wants to browse the JAE website when they have time to see if they come across the correct connector Edwin shows and do share link after you locate. I will do the same.

^^ +1 Agreed. I looked at all the connectors on the linked website and the 38 and 48 are the only of the correct color to the one on the vehicle, however, neither is the right connector.
