Default ML audio feels like front biased

I'm 6'2", so my seats are somewhere in the normal or slightly closer to the back seats. However, when I listen to the audio system, I know all speakers come out but I just feel like it's front biased. Today, I put the speakers settings to 2 steps backwards and I feel more balanced. I also turned of auto leveling and surround.

What about you guys? Anyone with ML have thoughts on this? I know it's whatever sounds good to my ear but wanted to hear others' opinion.

The rear speakers almost seem like they do nothing. When you move the balance all the way to the rear, it's so low. Whereas if you move the balance all the way to the front it's blasting! If I end up moving it a few notches to the rear, I find I just end up turning the volume up much louder.

Totally agree with ML system being front biased. I sat in the back of my own car and it sounded nothing like it does in the front.

Well, the IS is meant to be a drivers car, so everything, including the sound, is driver focused

Driver focused is fine as long as I can reliably hear from all speakers, in which you'd technically should hear louder sound from the back if you were to measure the decibel from each speakers. In the case of ML system, front is definitely louder and you feel like you're only hearing from the front. I'm starting to hate the audio system in my new car =(
