2015 Lexus IS 250 20K miles front tire replacement?
Took to dealership and they're recommending new tires, tire tread is low.. the rear are in the green and are still good but fronts need replacement. Why is this happening? Is it because of the tire brand? I read somewhere on forum it may be due to bushings / tire rods?? I also recently got an alignment done from Lexus as well.
Mine only lasted 15k on stock Turanzas. Got them replaced with Pilot Super Sports. Much better tire. You need to replace all 4 as mixing and matching isnt a good idea.
Welcome to owning high performance tires. 15K for the stock tires is very common. So if you got an extra 5K out of them, GREAT!
Next set of tires, pay close attention to your UTQG number. The higher the number, the more miles you'll get. A very popular tire for the IS are the Michelin AS 3+ and the Conti DWS. Both tires are excellent if you live in snow country and have plenty of performance in the dry months.

He lives in Cali. To the OP, if you don't see any snow, the Pilot Super Sports are far better than the AS3+ for grip. Amazing tire. However, you'll get about 10k more miles out of the AS3+ (20k vs. 30k).
