I know we all think our stereo could be better but when I added an aftermarket sub and tweaked the settings I'm ok with it. Here's is my 10" Hertz setup:
Is it the rd500/1 or JX500/1? 4 ohm or 2 ohm? Sealed or ported enclosure? Any trunk rattle? I’m planning on getting the same sub.
Hertz HX250D, HCP 1D amp, LC2i and a sealed custom enclosure. I havent notice any truck rattle but I don't pound the system all the time, volume is usually at 25. Running @ 4ohms

4 ohm, ported. some rattle. the trunk is pretty solid. highly recommend a bass **** (i adjust it a lot).
it's loud when i turn it up, overpowering all the other speakers. if i had to do it again, i'd probably go with a different amp, in case i'd upgrade speakers in the future.

should I definitely not go with 2 ohm if 4 ohm is already overpowering?
has anyone replaced the front stage of their non levinson system? i'm thinking about replacing the front speakers only with a three speaker component system but i'm not sure about the size and depth of the midrange and woofer. i'd also like to have a custom made fiberglass enclosure for a 10" or 12" inch sub like some of the examples that are posted. i know that if a w6? or w7 can fit i'd like one about the same size.
