Default Pilot Sport 4S - IS 350 F-Sport - RWD

What's up guys. I am on the border of being pretty bummed out..I was dead set on buying PS4S tires for the Lex and came to learn today that they don't make it for our tire size. I am confused by this because the 2017 Car & Driver summer tire test had the PS4S on the test bimmer. They wrapped the test car with 245/40/18s

Is it true that we can't get the PS4S tires?

I looked for them too and the Super Sports were the only ones available. I think you won't find much difference between the PS4 vs PS SS.

I have the 4s mounted on my new rims that I have yet to install due to a front caliper clearance issue. I have them in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19

So unfortunately they don't have it on the OEM rim, that's a bummer. I am not interested in upgrading rims at this time. Unfortunately my budget won't allow it. I guess Super Sports it is.

Lol I know. I don't know why I'm complaining. I guess I just want the same tires as the big boys for no rational reason. I would bet that their performance characteristics are nearly identical.

When I called Michelin, they believed the 4S will eventually be released in F-Sport sizes, either later in the year or next

I've just replaced my old set of MPSS for a set of MP4S. This statement is misinformation. The Mp4s is an improvement on the SS.

I was told by a Michelin rep last year that we would start seeing PS4S tires in the 18" sizes sometime during 2018. Hopefully they are keeping on track with their schedule.

At the limit i am sure it is. But for normal spirited driving in the dry, bet we dont approach the ridiculous limit of the PSS (much less the PS4). I hear its better in the rain though. Of course I dont remember the last time it rained in so-cal.
