2018 IS350 updates
Debating if I should get the 3rd Gen IS350 or just wait for the 4th gen. Coming from a 2008 Acura TL.
Am I missing anything that they have updated for the 2018 models?
1. Headlight
2. Bigger infotainment screen
3. LSD

As far as 18 models, well most importantly, later '17 (built after July) models got a stronger reinforced front occupant compartment so your feet and legs dont get torn apart in a small angle crash. At least the driver's side.
08 TL is a nice car especially if 6 speed manual. aged incredibly well.

Does anyone know if they have fixed little quirks that have been plaguing the first couple of years of the 3rd gen IS?
One that I know of is the headlights, they made the bottom headlight straight so it doesn't collect snow.

I know one issue of the A/C blending doors getting stuck that has been fixed on the Gen3. I think the 2014-15 models still had issues, but they were fixed on the 15+.
The Enform sytem has connectivity issues. I can speak personally to that! Inner tire wear on the front tires is also an on going issue.

Can you be more specific.

IMO, when it comes to crash test data and safety claims, I think it's important get the details right for thread readers. The 2017 MY IS and 2018 MY IS tested the same for both NHTSA and IIHS crash tests. (Notice NHTSA even carries over the same Technical Report for both model years.)
2017 MY IS IIHS Crash Test Results and Safety Ratings
2018 MY IS IIHS Crash Test Results and Safety Ratings
2017 MY IS NHTSA Crash Test Results and Safety Ratings
2018 MY IS NHTSA Crash Test Results and Safety Ratings
So as of this posting, both MYs are equally safe according to these two crash testing agencies.

Anyway... For MY17, Lexus made two structural changes to the driver's side of the 3IS. Models after July '17 got the second update.
So the 3IS has 3 different structures possible.
